- • As a Staff Software Engineer on the Fine-Grained Authorization (FGA) Core team at Okta, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of identity and access management by designing, developing, and maintaining highly scalable, performant, and secure authorization solutions.
- • This role is pivotal in architecting the FGA platform to achieve extreme performance metrics, specifically targeting and guaranteeing millisecond-level p99 check latencies and ensuring horizontal scalability to effortlessly handle millions of queries per second (QPS).
- • You will lead in-depth design initiatives, conduct continuous benchmarking, and drive relentless optimization efforts across the core data models, query paths, and distributed caching strategies to meet and exceed these critical performance targets.
- • Your responsibilities will include writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to the highest coding best practices, and actively participating in rigorous code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
