📋 Description

• • Architect the Future: You will design distributed, stateless, and highly-scalable systems that remain resilient under load and are optimized for both performance and throughput. Your blueprints will serve as the north-star for squads across the company, ensuring that every new service we ship can handle 10× growth without breaking a sweat.
• • Stay Hands-On: Despite the "Staff" title, you will remain an active contributor. You will prototype bleeding-edge features, implement mission-critical paths, and review pull requests with empathy and precision. Your code will be held up as the gold standard for readability, testability, and pragmatism.
• • Scale What Matters: You will leverage asynchronous architectures and message-driven patterns (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, pub/sub) to decouple services, slash latency, and keep our customers happily clicking "Book Now" even during traffic surges like Black Friday flash sales.
• • Ensure Consistency and Integrity: You will define battle-tested patterns for data consistency—whether eventual or strong—and guarantee message ordering and reliable state transitions across polyglot storage layers (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, S3). Your designs will prevent the dreaded "double booking" scenario that haunts every travel platform.
• • Be a Multiplier: You will mentor engineers from junior to senior levels, run architecture guilds, and embed a culture of technical excellence. Expect to pair-program, run brown-bag sessions, and write internal RFCs that turn tribal knowledge into shared wisdom.
• • Raise the Bar: You will champion best practices in automated testing (unit, contract, e2e), observability (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, SLOs), continuous integration, and secure software development. Every commit that lands in main should feel safer and faster than the last.
• • Transform at Scale: You will actively reduce technical debt by refactoring monoliths into microservices, migrating legacy codebases to modern runtimes, and driving modernization strategies that improve agility, performance, and reliability. Your work will directly influence our OKRs around page-load time, conversion rate, and infrastructure cost.
• • Partner for Impact: You will collaborate daily with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Infrastructure teams to influence quarterly roadmaps and shape a pragmatic, scalable architecture vision. You will translate business goals into technical epics and ensure that engineering effort always maps to measurable customer impact.
• • Own Reliability: You will participate in an on-call rotation, but more importantly, you will build systems that rarely wake anyone up. Expect to define SLAs, error budgets, and chaos-engineering experiments that prove our resilience.
• • Drive Innovation: You will experiment with new paradigms—think event sourcing, CQRS, serverless, or edge computing—to keep Voyage Privé at the forefront of travel-tech innovation. Your proof-of-concepts will often become the backbone of next-gen features.
