📋 Description

• As a Staff Software Engineer, Platform Integrations at Twelve Labs Inc., you will own the critical infrastructure and integration layer that enables the company's cutting-edge multimodal foundation models to be reliably deployed and accessed across diverse partner platforms, directly accelerating the delivery of innovative video understanding capabilities to users worldwide.
• Your work will bridge the gap between advanced AI model development and real-world platform deployment, ensuring that Twelve Labs' technology can seamlessly integrate with external systems while maintaining high reliability, scalability, and performance across heterogeneous cloud environments.
• You will design and build robust infrastructure for deploying Twelve Labs models across multiple cloud and data platforms, carefully accounting for variations in compute hardware, networking, APIs, and operational models to ensure consistent performance and compatibility.
• You will own direct integrations into partner products by implementing the orchestration, data flow, and API surfaces that connect Twelve Labs models to partner-side functionality, enabling seamless end-to-end serving experiences.
• You will design and evolve CI/CD automation systems, including validation and deployment pipelines that reliably ship new model versions across platforms without introducing regressions, supporting rapid and safe iteration.
• You will create interfaces and tooling abstractions that work consistently across platforms, reducing per-platform complexity and scaling efficiently as new partners are added, thereby improving engineering velocity and reducing operational overhead.
• You will implement API-level features and changes that require understanding model component behavior—such as routing, request handling, and response formatting—without modifying the model internals, ensuring alignment between infrastructure and model capabilities.
• You will contribute to capacity planning and autoscaling strategies that dynamically match supply with demand across platform deployments, optimizing resource utilization and cost efficiency.
• You will analyze observability data across platforms to identify performance bottlenecks, cost anomalies, and regressions, then drive remediation efforts based on real production workloads to maintain system health and reliability.
• You will collaborate closely with platform partner engineering teams to resolve operational issues, align on API contracts, and stand up end-to-end serving on new platforms, fostering strong technical partnerships.
• You will work alongside Science, Product, and ML Engineering teams to align model and product roadmaps for effective platform integrations, ensuring that infrastructure development supports broader business and technical goals.
• You will operate in a highly autonomous and ownership-driven environment, taking problems end to end with a bias toward high-impact work that directly influences the company’s ability to scale its AI technology globally.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant software engineering experience building and operating mission-critical backend systems at scale
• Experience building or operating services on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure), with exposure to Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, or container orchestration
• Strong interest in ML inference — you want to understand how models work, even if your primary contribution is the infrastructure around them
• Ability to design highly observable systems that operate reliably at scale across multiple environments
• Autonomy and ownership — you take problems end to end with a bias toward high-impact work
