📋 Description
- • Staff Software Engineer, React Native role at Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) focused on defining architecture and technical best practices for PlayStation’s mobile and desktop user experiences.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include evolving frontend architecture with React Native and TypeScript, driving performance optimizations for rendering and startup time, collaborating with native engineers on custom modules, applying MVC/MVVM/MVP patterns, partnering with product and design teams, establishing coding standards and testing strategies, mentoring engineers, investigating new frontend technologies, and representing frontend needs in cross-team technical discussions.
- • SIE is the creator of PlayStation, delivering hardware and network services to over 100 million users, and is part of Sony Group Corporation’s legacy of innovation and excellence in entertainment technology.
- • The role offers opportunity to lead technical strategy, mentor engineers, shape scalable frontend frameworks, and push boundaries in cross-platform development while working on globally recognized IP like PlayStation®5 and PlayStation Studios titles.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of software development experience with significant React Native or high-performance JavaScript/TypeScript app development
- • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- • Strong expertise in frontend performance profiling, optimization, and debugging
- • Deep understanding of cross-platform architecture and bridging between JS and native modules
- • Proven track record delivering production-quality mobile or desktop applications with React Native
- • Experience designing scalable frontend architectures and reusable UI frameworks
- • Strong collaboration skills with native engineers, designers, and product managers
- • Demonstrated technical leadership through project leadership, mentoring, or setting engineering strategy
