- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include championing AI-native development practices using tools like Cursor and Augment to boost productivity; taking ownership of team architecture and design reviews; contributing hands-on to coding, testing, and delivering roadmap projects; leading the transition from monolith to Service Oriented Architecture; improving platform and developer experience; designing workflow automation solutions with AI integration; managing the team’s short-term roadmap with risk mitigation; providing technical mentorship and fostering engineer growth; collaborating cross-functionally with Product, UX, QA, and Customer Support; owning production issue resolution and operational excellence; implementing engineering best practices; partnering with recruiting on hiring and team building; conducting code reviews and quality assurance; leading complex full-stack workflow development; and growing into a domain expert in either Fundraising or Reporting with deep customer and value proposition understanding.
- • Juniper Square is a mission-driven company digitizing private markets — including commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital — to bring efficiency, transparency, and access to half of the global financial ecosystem. The company operates with a digital-first hybrid model, enabling collaboration across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England, with physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai, and Bangalore for those who prefer in-person work. You will join a values-driven organization committed to using technology to make markets work better.
- • In this role, you will achieve technical mastery and leadership growth by shaping scalable systems, influencing engineering culture, and becoming a subject matter expert in high-impact domains. You will have the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on core products that power financial workflows for enterprise clients, while developing expertise in AI-augmented development, service-oriented architecture, and modern cloud-native practices — all within a supportive, innovative environment that values player-coach leadership and continuous learning.

- • 7+ years of experience with modern web application frameworks (preferably React) and a trajectory of increasing technical leadership, architectural responsibility, and mentorship
- • Expertise in object-oriented programming (OOP) such as Python, Node/TS, Java, C++, C#, or similar server-side languages
- • Experience with front-end technologies including React, CSS frameworks, HTML, and JavaScript
- • Solid understanding of server-side MVC frameworks (e.g., Django, Rails, Pyramid)
- • Experience with relational databases (Postgres or MySQL), SQL schema design, and query optimization

- • Demonstrated product focus and understanding of how technology solves customer problems and drives business outcomes
- • Highly self-driven with proactive leadership, technical problem-solving, and initiative execution
- • Experience in agile development environments and familiarity with rapid iteration practices
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- • Strong "player-coach" mindset: hands-on with code, design, and architecture to lead by example
- • Enthusiasm for adopting and driving AI-native development tools (e.g., Cursor, Augment)
- • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams effectively in fast-paced, innovative environments
- • Deep understanding of service-oriented architecture, modern software development practices, and building scalable, reliable systems
