📋 Description

• As a Staff Software Engineer (Rust) at Finary SAS, you will design and build high-performance backend services in Rust for a fintech platform serving over 800,000 users, directly contributing to a mission that empowers individual investors with tools to track assets, manage budgets, invest money, and learn about finance.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing scalable and reliable backend systems using Rust, driving technical direction across teams by shaping architecture and engineering standards, leading complex technical initiatives from design to rollout, collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver pragmatic solutions, and mentoring engineers to strengthen engineering culture through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• You will join a team of 10 Rust engineers across multiple product squads (One, Crypto, Life, or others), working in a high-performing environment where ownership, technical freedom, and impact are prioritized, backed by strong investor support including PayPal Ventures and Y Combinator.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Rust-based distributed systems, influence fintech-grade architecture at scale, mentor peers, and grow as a technical leader while building products that meaningfully improve people’s financial lives.

🎯 Requirements

• Rust expertise: understanding of Rust's memory safety and concurrency model with production-quality code experience
• Strong PostgreSQL skills and experience with message queues for resilient systems
• Ability to architect scalable systems meeting fintech-grade reliability demands
• English fluency, written and spoken
• Problem-solving skills to diagnose complex issues and devise effective solutions
• Team player mindset: humble and committed to helping others grow
