• • As a Staff Software Engineer on the Security Platform Engineering team at Coinbase, you will be at the forefront of building and maintaining critical infrastructure that underpins the security, compliance, and privacy of our rapidly growing digital currency exchange. This is a pivotal role where you will architect, develop, and scale innovative services and solutions designed to protect our users and the company from sophisticated threats in a high-stakes environment.
• • You will be instrumental in designing and implementing capabilities for a wide array of security use cases, with a particular focus on enhancing our Workforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) Platform. This involves improving the efficiency of employee access management, strengthening security oversight, and ensuring robust control over internal systems.
• • Your responsibilities will include building new, scalable services using Golang to address critical product and business needs. You will leverage modern cloud technologies and adhere to industry best practices to solve complex and novel problems.
• • A key aspect of this role is articulating and driving a long-term technical vision for the maintenance and scaling of our backend systems and the teams that operate them. This requires strategic thinking and the ability to anticipate future challenges and opportunities.
• • You will collaborate closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, including fellow engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership. • • A significant part of your role will be to lead an India-based IAM pod, serving as the primary technical lead for this group.
