Staff Software Engineer, Video Streaming

📋 Description

• • As a Staff Software Engineer on the Cloud Video team at Flock Safety, you will build extremely low-latency live video capabilities that power real-time crime prevention and community safety solutions, directly contributing to a nationwide public-private safety network trusted by thousands of communities and law enforcement agencies.
• • Day to day, you will design, develop, and maintain cloud-based video ingestion, encoding, packaging, and delivery systems using technologies like WebRTC, HLS, RTSP, FFmpeg, Go, TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker, while collaborating cross-functionally to integrate Flock LTE-connected and third-party cameras into a scalable video platform.
• • You will join a high-performance, low-ego engineering team at Flock Safety, a mission-driven company with $700M in venture funding and a $7.5B valuation, dedicated to solving tough problems through urgency, collaboration, and bold thinking to make communities safer.
