đź“‹ Description
- • As a Staff Solutions Engineer for the Public Sector at Twelve Labs, you will serve as the critical technical bridge between the company’s cutting-edge multimodal video understanding AI platform and mission-critical U.S. government operations, directly enabling federal, state, and local agencies to harness advanced video analysis for national security, public safety, and operational intelligence—transforming raw video into actionable insights in secure, high-stakes environments.
- • You will embed with government customers to deeply understand their video workflows and pain points, design and deploy TwelveLabs’ AI models (including semantic search, scene detection, object tracking, activity recognition, and summarization) across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, FedRAMP, classified networks, and on-premises secure facilities, and build custom integrations with government systems like Palantir Foundry, Salesforce, and SharePoint to deliver production-ready solutions that meet rigorous security and compliance standards.
- • You will own end-to-end technical delivery as the primary point of customer success, rapidly prototyping solutions with real customer data, translating mission needs into technical implementations, troubleshooting complex production issues in air-gapped and SCIF environments, and maintaining high system availability while preparing security documentation for ATOs, CTFs, and RMF compliance under NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP frameworks.
- • You will act as a strategic feedback loop between field deployments and internal product teams, identifying patterns across customer use cases to inform platform roadmap, contributing to reference architectures and deployment automation, collaborating with ML engineers to optimize model performance for government scenarios, and representing Twelve Labs at government conferences and briefings to shape how AI serves public missions.
- • You will build trusted, long-term relationships with government program managers, technical leaders, and end users by presenting technical solutions to senior stakeholders, deeply understanding mission objectives to propose innovative capabilities they hadn’t considered, and traveling up to 10% annually (with 40–60% on-site in DC/VA/MD) to attend conferences, off-sites, and on-site engagements—ensuring Twelve Labs remains a trusted partner in advancing public sector AI adoption.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active or attainable U.S. Department of Defense or Intelligence Community TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship eligible for maintenance
- • BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
- • 3+ years of software engineering, ML engineering, or technical solutions experience with strong coding ability in Python
- • Experience deploying or operating software in government networks (classified or unclassified) for 1+ years
- • Familiarity with federal security frameworks including RMF, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, FISMA, and STIGs
🏖️ Benefits
- • Full health, dental, and vision benefits
- • Extremely flexible PTO and parental leave policy, with office closed the week of Christmas and New Years
- • Open and inclusive culture working with a mission-driven team on cutting-edge multimodal AI technology

About Twelve Labs Inc.
Twelve Labs builds multimodal video understanding AI. Its cloud platform transforms long-form video into vector embeddings that capture visual, audio, speech and contextual information, enabling semantic search, summarization, chaptering, moderation and analytics through a single API. Developers upload video, index it, then query in natural language or image to retrieve exact moments, generate highlights or detect unwanted content. Models are pretrained on large-scale web video, continually fine-tuned for accuracy and latency, and deployable on dedicated GPU clusters for enterprise security. Founded in 2021, the San Francisco company serves media, ed-tech, safety and e-commerce customers worldwide.
