📋 Description
- • Design, develop, and maintain scalable software systems for Extreme Networks’ agentic product platform, focusing on cloud-driven networking solutions used by over 50,000 global customers.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, QA, and cloud infrastructure to deliver end-to-end features that accelerate customer digital transformation.
- • Architect and implement software components that enable autonomous decision-making capabilities within Extreme’s networking products, leveraging agentic AI principles.
- • Optimize system performance, reliability, and security for high-availability enterprise networking environments under demanding real-world conditions.
- • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in alignment with Extreme’s engineering standards and best practices for large-scale distributed systems.
- • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and sprint planning to ensure alignment with product roadmaps and architectural goals.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects across the full stack, from low-level network protocols to cloud-based orchestration layers.
- • Integrate third-party APIs and services into Extreme’s product ecosystem to enhance functionality and customer value.
- • Contribute to the evolution of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks to improve deployment velocity and software quality.
- • Stay current with emerging trends in networking, cloud computing, and agentic systems to inform product innovation and technical strategy.
- • Support deployment and monitoring of software in production environments, collaborating with DevOps and support teams to ensure system stability.
- • Document technical specifications, system architectures, and operational procedures for internal and external stakeholders.
- • Uphold Extreme’s core value of inclusion by actively contributing to an environment where diverse perspectives drive technical excellence and innovation.
- • Engage in knowledge sharing through internal tech talks, mentorship, and documentation to elevate team capabilities and foster collective growth.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- • 7+ years of experience in software systems engineering with a focus on networking or cloud-based platforms
- • Proven experience designing and implementing agentic or autonomous systems in production environments
- • Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or C++ for systems-level development
- • Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture
