📋 Description

• As a Staff Technical Product Manager for Embedding & Search at Twelve Labs, you will own the strategy and roadmap for Marengo, the multimodal video embedding model, and Search, the product built on top of it, which are central to the company’s platform and competitive edge in video understanding AI.
• Your day-to-day involves splitting time between deep collaboration with the research team on model quality and evaluation, engaging with customers and field engineers to diagnose retrieval failures in production, and driving internal product execution including release planning, deployment across SaaS, customer-hosted, and AWS Bedrock environments, and competitive analysis.
• Twelve Labs is a well-funded AI pioneer backed by NVIDIA’s NVentures, NEA, Radical Ventures, and Index Ventures, with headquarters in San Francisco and a strong APAC presence in Seoul, dedicated to building multimodal foundation models that enable machines to understand video like humans.
• In this role, you will shape the future of multimodal video retrieval, influence how embeddings and search are deployed at scale, and grow your impact by bridging cutting-edge research, enterprise customer needs, and product-led growth strategies in a high-stakes, innovative environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Research, ML, or engineering background with real work in retrieval, embeddings, vector search, or multimodal models
• Experience as a senior solutions engineer or forward deployed engineer with deep ML understanding, having acted as a de facto product owner on complex customer problems
• Ability to engage deeply on retrieval architecture with researchers in the morning and frame substantive product decisions for GTM teams in the afternoon
• Strong, evidence-based opinions on what makes search work in production and how to serve human vs. agent customer segments
• Proven ability to ship products with enterprise and product-led growth (PLG) motions
• Experience shipping products with a model-related core, preferably 3+ years
