You will own a steady stream of daily and long-form stories that demystify markets, decode crypto trends, and spotlight the best brokerage, retirement, and robo-advisor products on the market.
- • Produce sharp, service-driven journalism: from breaking news on gold and silver price moves to evergreen explainers on how to open a Roth IRA or choose the right crypto exchange. Every article you publish will combine rigorous data, SEO insight, and crystal-clear prose so readers can act with confidence.
- • Operate on tight daily deadlines while still finding time for deeper enterprise pieces. You will update articles in real time as markets shift, rates change, or new products launch, ensuring Forbes Advisor remains the most current and trustworthy destination for consumer-investor guidance.
- • Partner with our lead editor to scale the Investing vertical. You’ll help set editorial calendars, identify high-value keyword opportunities, and create repeatable frameworks for “best-of” lists that rank and convert.
- • Collaborate with data analysts, product managers, and design teams to build proprietary methodologies that rate brokerages, IRAs, crypto exchanges, and cash-management accounts. Your byline will sit atop interactive tools and calculators that turn complex comparisons into simple, actionable advice.
- • Contribute to newsletters, push alerts, and social-first features that extend the life and reach of every story. You’ll brainstorm new franchises—video explainers, TikTok scripts, or Slack community Q&As—that keep Forbes Advisor ahead of the conversation.
- • Champion Forbes Advisor style and journalistic ethics. You will fact-check obsessively, cite sources transparently, and ensure every disclosure, risk warning, and affiliate disclaimer meets both editorial standards and regulatory requirements.
- • Monitor reader feedback, analytics dashboards, and SERP performance to iterate on headlines, angles, and formats. You’ll A/B test everything from FAQ boxes to comparison tables, turning data into editorial insight that lifts traffic and trust.
- • Mentor junior freelancers and interns, sharing SEO tricks, sourcing techniques, and the art of writing for skimmers and deep-divers alike. Your guidance will raise the bar for the entire newsroom.
- • Represent Forbes Advisor at industry events, on podcasts, and in media interviews. You’ll build relationships with fintech CEOs, fund managers, and policy makers to secure exclusive quotes and early product briefings that give our coverage an edge.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–4 years of online journalism or writing-focused roles, preferably covering investing, crypto, retirement, or broader consumer finance
- • Demonstrated ability to write accurate, engaging, and SEO-optimized content under daily deadlines
- • Strong grasp of the consumer finance space—or an obsessive enthusiasm to master it quickly
- • Experience with data-driven storytelling and familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword research tools
- • Organized, detail-oriented, and nimble enough to pivot coverage when markets or strategy shift
