- • As a Strategic Account Executive at Pluralsight, you will be entrusted with the comprehensive commercial success and strategic outcomes for a dedicated portfolio of approximately 8-12 large, key enterprise customers. Your primary focus will be on driving both the renewal and expansion of recurring revenue streams within these accounts, ensuring sustained growth and deep customer engagement.
- • You will operate in close, synergistic partnership with a dedicated Customer Success Manager (CSM) and a broader support ecosystem, which includes a Technical Account Manager (TAM). This collaborative approach is designed to guarantee that every customer interaction is successful, impactful, and aligned with their strategic objectives.
- • A core aspect of your role involves developing and meticulously implementing sophisticated account strategies and detailed plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each assigned customer. This requires a deep understanding of their business landscape, challenges, and aspirations.
- • You will assume full ownership of the entire sales cycle for both the retention of existing business (renewals) and the acquisition of new business opportunities within your designated accounts. This end-to-end responsibility demands a proactive and strategic approach to sales management.
- • A significant portion of your weekly efforts will be dedicated to consistent, high-velocity outbound prospecting. This proactive outreach is crucial for building and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential opportunities, ensuring a continuous flow of new business and expansion possibilities.
- • Cultivating and nurturing strong relationships is paramount. You will actively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, both within the customer organization and across various Pluralsight internal teams. Achieving executive alignment is a key objective to ensure strategic buy-in and support for Pluralsight's solutions.
- • You are expected to conduct thorough research to gain an in-depth understanding of each customer's business operations, market position, and strategic priorities. This knowledge will enable you to act as a trusted, consultative advisor, effectively aligning Pluralsight's comprehensive learning solutions to directly address their challenges and help them achieve their most critical strategic objectives.
- • Your responsibilities extend to managing all financial and sales-related activities. This includes the development of compelling proposals, robust business cases, accurate sales forecasting, skillful negotiation of business terms and contracts, and guiding all aspects of commercial transactions to successful closure.
- • You will leverage established sales methodologies, specifically MEDDPICC and the Three Whys framework, across your account base. This structured approach ensures a deep, quantifiable understanding of customer needs and challenges, enabling Pluralsight to deliver demonstrable value and measurable business outcomes.
- • Success in this role requires the ability to expertly navigate and manage large, complex enterprise accounts, understanding the intricate dynamics and decision-making processes within these organizations.
- • Exceptional communication skills are essential, encompassing persuasive written communication, clear and engaging verbal interactions, and impactful presentation abilities.
- • You will demonstrate strong team leadership capabilities, working collaboratively to formulate and execute comprehensive account and customer support plans that drive mutual success.
- • Proven strategic negotiation and closing skills are critical, backed by a successful track record of navigating diverse stakeholders within large, complex organizations and effectively managing internal cross-functional alignment.
- • This role requires a commitment to travel, with up to 50% of your time potentially spent in customer meetings, as in-person engagement is a key performance indicator.
- • While not strictly required, a strong understanding of the Learning SaaS (LMS/LXP) landscape and the competitive market is considered a significant advantage, allowing for more immediate impact and strategic insight.
- • You are committed to continuous learning and are open to new approaches, unafraid to experiment, learn from mistakes, ask questions, and voice concerns constructively.
- • You embody a team-first mentality, recognizing that collective success is built on the strength and support of every team member, while also being a highly effective individual contributor.
- • You are self-aware, insightful, and proactive in your communication, fostering transparency and trust.
