This pivotal role is designed for an individual passionate about driving significant growth within global enterprise accounts, with a primary focus on self-generated, net-new business acquisition. You will be instrumental in expanding Cloudinary's market presence by identifying and closing complex, multi-year, multi-product sales engagements with some of the world's largest and most influential organizations.
  • • As a Strategic Account Executive, you will operate at the forefront of enterprise sales, leading intricate, multi-threaded opportunities. Your mission will be to position Cloudinary not just as a vendor, but as a long-term, indispensable strategic platform that underpins the digital success of our clients. This is a highly consultative and value-based sales role, demanding a deep understanding of enterprise business challenges and the ability to articulate how Cloudinary's innovative solutions can drive tangible, measurable business outcomes.
  • • You will be responsible for cultivating and nurturing relationships with executive-level stakeholders within target accounts. This involves understanding their strategic objectives, pain points, and digital transformation initiatives. By leveraging your expertise, you will craft and present compelling, customized solutions that address these needs, demonstrating the transformative power of Cloudinary's Image and Video API platform.
  • • Success in this role requires a proactive and entrepreneurial approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will be expected to develop and execute strategic account plans, conduct thorough market research, and engage in sophisticated prospecting activities to build a robust pipeline of qualified leads. Your ability to navigate complex organizational structures and engage with diverse decision-makers, including IT, Marketing, Product, and Engineering leaders, will be crucial.
  • • Collaboration is key to success at Cloudinary. You will work closely with our world-class Sales Engineering, Product Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless pre-sales and post-sales engagement. This cross-functional partnership will enable you to deliver comprehensive solutions and ensure our clients achieve maximum value from their investment in Cloudinary.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in enterprise software sales, particularly within SaaS environments. Experience selling complex solutions to Fortune 500 or equivalent global enterprises is highly desirable. You should be adept at managing long sales cycles, negotiating complex contracts, and building strong, lasting relationships with C-suite executives and key influencers.

  • • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic account plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • • Identify, qualify, and manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial contact to close.
  • • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level stakeholders and key decision-makers.
  • • Conduct in-depth discovery calls and needs assessments to understand client business challenges and objectives.
  • • Develop and deliver compelling, value-based presentations and product demonstrations.
  • • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Product Marketing, and other internal teams to craft tailored solutions.
  • • Negotiate and close multi-year, multi-product contracts with enterprise clients.
  • • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
  • • Represent Cloudinary at industry events and conferences as needed.
