- • Strategic Account Executives at Datadog drive new business acquisition with the company’s largest and most strategic customers, focusing on organizations operating or migrating to cloud environments at scale. This role is critical to expanding Datadog’s market presence by identifying customer pain points and delivering tailored monitoring and observability solutions that enable digital transformation and infrastructure visibility.
- • You will prospect into Fortune 1000 companies, manage end-to-end sales cycles, and build deep, data-driven relationships with key stakeholders. Your day-to-day involves researching target accounts, developing account-specific strategies, engaging C-suite and technical decision-makers, conducting value-based selling, negotiating complex deals, and ensuring accurate forecasting while expanding both the breadth and depth of customer engagements.
- • You will own and evolve relationship maps for your territory, combining existing contacts with aspirational targets to create a strategic roadmap for growth. This includes understanding each customer’s business objectives, technical environment, and buying process to position Datadog as a trusted partner in their cloud journey.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of proven closing experience, with a mix of field selling in mid-market and enterprise environments
- • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding $1M+ in annual sales goals, with an average deal size of $100k+
- • Demonstrated ability to independently prospect, build pipeline, and execute a disciplined sales process
- • Experience selling into Fortune 1000 companies, including winning new logos in complex, competitive environments
- • Background in innovative technology companies, preferably SaaS, IT infrastructure, or related domains
- • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to client sites using various modes of transportation (car, train, air) as business needs require
