  • • As a Strategic Account Executive for Tennessee at Okta, you will be at the forefront of driving growth within our largest and most significant customer segment. This role is pivotal in shaping Okta's expansion by targeting and securing new enterprise logos while simultaneously nurturing and expanding relationships with existing Okta and Auth0 customers.
  • • You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive territory plan, focusing on high-activity standards to ensure consistent pipeline generation, prospect qualification, and the achievement of monthly revenue targets. Your strategic approach will be key to unlocking the immense growth potential within this segment.
  • • A core aspect of this role involves establishing a clear vision and strategic roadmap for net-new logo pipeline generation. This requires a proactive and forward-thinking mindset, identifying untapped opportunities and developing innovative approaches to engage potential clients.
  • • You will consistently deliver against revenue targets, contributing to year-over-year territory growth. This involves a deep understanding of the sales cycle, market dynamics, and customer needs within the enterprise SaaS space.
  • • The role demands the identification, development, and execution of sophisticated account strategies. These strategies will be designed to generate a robust pipeline, drive sales opportunities to closure, and ensure repeatable and predictable bookings.
  • • A significant part of your success will hinge on your ability to identify, target, and gain access to key decision-makers and influencers within prospect organizations. Building and cultivating a strong network of C-suite executives and other relevant leaders is paramount.
  • • You will be expected to expertly scope, negotiate, and close complex agreements, consistently meeting and exceeding assigned revenue quotas. This requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of value-based selling, and the ability to articulate Okta's unique value proposition.
  • • Embracing and leveraging Okta's partner ecosystem is crucial. You will work collaboratively with partners, including Global System Integrators (GSIs), to identify and open new, uncharted opportunities, amplifying your reach and impact.
  • • Building and nurturing effective working partnerships within the internal Okta ecosystem is essential. This includes close collaboration with Sales Development Representatives (xDRs), Partners, Presales Engineers, and Customer First teams to ensure a cohesive and successful customer engagement strategy.
  • • A strong value-based sales approach is fundamental. You will consistently aim to bring a compelling and insightful point of view to every customer interaction, positioning Okta as a strategic partner rather than just a vendor.
  • • This role requires a willingness to travel as necessary to build and cultivate strong relationships with customers and prospects, fostering trust and understanding through in-person engagement.
  • • You will be instrumental in evangelizing, educating, and creating demand among C-level decision-makers, demonstrating a clear understanding of their business challenges and how Okta's identity solutions can address them.
  • • Navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, both from the customer's side and within Okta's internal structure, will be a daily requirement. Your ability to manage these complexities effectively will be a key differentiator.
  • • Proven success in building partnerships and securing buy-in from multiple stakeholders across various organizational levels is expected.
  • • You will utilize a recognized sales framework, such as MEDDPICC, to structure your sales process, ensuring a disciplined and effective approach to opportunity management.
  • • This role involves an initial in-person onboarding and potential travel to Okta's San Francisco, CA HQ office during the first week of employment, ensuring a strong foundation for your success.
  • • Ultimately, you will be a key contributor to Okta's mission of securing digital identities for businesses worldwide, driving significant revenue growth and solidifying Okta's position as the leader in identity management.
