📋 Description

• The Strategic Account Manager is a senior role responsible for managing and growing Workyard's highest-value accounts: the top 150-200 customers by MRR, owning the full account relationship from renewal through expansion and being measured on retention and net revenue growth.
• Day to day, the role involves managing relationships with top accounts, developing project-level understanding of customer operations, building trusted stakeholder relationships, acting as the Voice of the Customer internally, proactively engaging accounts to address churn risk, identifying and closing upsell/cross-sell opportunities, negotiating renewals, driving multi-year agreements, and developing external growth opportunities like referrals and case studies.
• Workyard is a growing startup focused on the U.S. construction and trades markets, building SaaS technology that helps construction companies manage their workforce, bringing trust, transparency, and accountability to an industry where $3000 annually on labor.
• The person is spent annually on labor.
• In this role, the person can learn to operate with high independence, refine scalable account management playbooks, mentor other account managers, contribute to a high-standard team culture, and develop deep expertise in strategic SaaS account management within the construction technology space.

🎯 Requirements

• Provenient and expansion targets, ideally in B2B SaaS.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, setting priorities and managing a pipeline with minimal direction.
• Strong executive presence, with the ability to advise senior stakeholders such as owners and VPs.
• Strong commercial instincts, with the ability to identify and close growth opportunities.
• Clear, direct communication skills.
• Experience selling to or supporting contractors, trades, or construction businesses.
• Experience owning both renewals and expansion within a single role.
