  • • Serve as the primary relationship manager and strategic advisor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina's (BCBSNC) National Accounts, driving profitable growth and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • • Take direct accountability for the retention of existing business, focusing on maximizing group retention rates and ensuring these complex clients remain profitable partners for BCBSNC.
  • • Spearhead the sale of new product lines and expanded service offerings to existing national accounts, identifying opportunities to enhance client benefits and outcomes.
  • • Negotiate renewal terms and identify cross-selling opportunities with high-profile, complex clients and their consultants, demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs and BCBSNC's value proposition.
  • • Proactively identify and pursue additional growth opportunities within ancillary products and buy-up options, tailoring solutions to meet specific client requirements and desired employee health outcomes.
  • • Manage and analyze key group data and profiles, contributing to a robust customer-centric knowledge base that supports the identification of future-state opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • • Conduct in-depth analysis of client financial and utilization data, alongside industry trends and benchmarks, to assess the success of current benefit strategies and inform recommendations.
  • • Develop and cultivate trusted advisor relationships with producers (brokers and consultants) by leveraging insights from health market trends and comprehensive group data analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
  • • Collaborate closely with the Client Services team to ensure the effective and timely resolution of group issues, and to guarantee that project management and delivery needs are met to the highest standards.
  • • Partner effectively with the Group Center of Excellence and Operations teams to ensure seamless coordination of renewal processes and enrollment periods, minimizing disruption for clients.
  • • Identify, document, and share best practices across the organization, and communicate key client experiences to stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in processes and sales resources.
  • • Actively promote goodwill and strengthen BCBSNC's community presence by maintaining contact with business leaders and participating in relevant community affairs, thereby projecting and upholding the corporate image.
  • • Stay continuously informed about competitor positioning, practices, and market information, using this intelligence for benchmarking competitive practices and keeping BCBSNC apprised of competitive activity and evolving market needs.
  • • Drive higher financial value for current clients by delivering market-leading, data-backed solutions and strategic recommendations that align with their business objectives and employee well-being goals.
  • • Understand and articulate BCBSNC's comprehensive value proposition, including its benefits administration capabilities and deep knowledge of the healthcare industry, to effectively position the company's offerings.
  • • Ensure a consistent and profitable sales performance for the National Group segment by effectively managing a portfolio of complex accounts.
  • • Maintain a forward-thinking approach, anticipating client needs and market shifts to proactively develop and present innovative solutions.
  • • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the National Accounts segment by providing valuable market intelligence and client feedback.
  • • Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism in all client interactions and internal collaborations.
  • • Act as a key point of contact for complex inquiries and escalations, providing expert guidance and resolution.
  • • Continuously enhance personal knowledge of healthcare regulations, market dynamics, and BCBSNC's product portfolio to provide expert advice.
  • • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
  • • Ensure all activities are aligned with BCBSNC's mission, vision, and values, particularly concerning community health and member well-being.
