  • • As a Strategic Enterprise Account Executive at Databricks, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and transformation within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) vertical. This role is designed for a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of leading go-to-market campaigns and successfully navigating complex sales cycles within Fortune 500 organizations. You will leverage your deep understanding of the data and AI landscape to expand customer vision, accelerate adoption of Databricks' cutting-edge solutions, and compress decision-making processes.
  • • Databricks is a leader in the Unified Data Analytics and AI space, empowering organizations to achieve accelerated innovation and gain a first-mover advantage. As we continue our rapid global expansion, we are seeking a creative and execution-oriented Enterprise Account Executive to join our CPG team and capitalize on the immense market opportunity. You will report directly to the Director of Enterprise Sales, taking ownership of a strategic enterprise client within the CPG sector.
  • • Your role will involve cultivating strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the client organization, including CIOs, IT executives, Line of Business (LOB) leaders, Program Managers, and other critical decision-makers. By understanding their strategic objectives and challenges, you will identify opportunities to drive significant value-based growth and expand the Databricks footprint across new business units and innovative use cases.
  • • You will be responsible for exceeding ambitious activity, pipeline, and revenue targets. This will require a proactive and strategic approach to account management, including meticulous tracking of all customer interactions, use case development, purchase timelines, next steps, and accurate forecasting within Salesforce. Your success will be measured by your ability to consistently achieve and surpass your sales objectives.
  • • A core aspect of this role is employing a solution-based selling methodology. You will deeply understand Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform, powered by Apache Spark™ and Delta Lake, and translate its technical capabilities into tangible, value-based benefits for the customer. This involves articulating how our platform can solve complex business problems, drive operational efficiencies, and unlock new revenue streams.
  • • You will be instrumental in developing and executing a comprehensive success plan for your assigned account. This plan will encompass both internal Databricks strategies and external customer engagement, ensuring alignment and maximizing the potential for long-term partnership and mutual success. This includes prioritizing opportunities effectively and leveraging internal Databricks resources strategically to support your sales efforts.
  • • The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and possesses a strong point of view on Big Data, Advanced Analytics, and AI. You are adept at simplifying complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business value propositions that resonate with executive leadership. Your ability to navigate ambiguity and operate with limited oversight, a hallmark of success in early-stage companies, will be crucial.
  • • This position demands a strategic mindset focused on managing a select portfolio of high-value enterprise accounts rather than a broad territory. You will be expected to build and maintain deep, enduring relationships with key client executives, program managers, and essential decision-makers within your designated accounts. Your success will be defined by your ability to penetrate these accounts strategically and drive significant revenue growth.
  • • You will champion Databricks' vision and value proposition, acting as a trusted advisor to your clients. This involves staying abreast of industry trends, understanding competitive landscapes, and proactively identifying how Databricks can best serve the evolving needs of the CPG sector. 🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of Enterprise Sales experience exceeding quotas in larger accounts, with a focus on managing a small set of strategic enterprise accounts.
  • • Previous field sales experience within big data, Cloud, SaaS, and a consumption selling motion.
  • • Proven ability to build relationships with CIOs, IT executives, LOB executives, Program Managers, and other key decision-makers.
  • • Strong understanding of Big Data, Advanced Analytics, and AI, with the ability to simplify technical capabilities into value-based benefits.
  • • Experience excelling in an early-stage company environment, demonstrating the ability to navigate and succeed with limited oversight.
  • • Bachelor's Degree.
