- • Databricks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Core Account Executive to join our dynamic Public Sector team, focusing on Federal System Integrators (FSIs). This role is pivotal in driving our go-to-market campaigns and expanding the adoption of Databricks' innovative Data Intelligence Platform within this critical sector.
- • As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be instrumental in identifying and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders across Federal System Integrators. This includes engaging with CIOs, IT executives, Line of Business (LOB) leaders, Program Managers, and other influential decision-makers to understand their strategic objectives and demonstrate how Databricks can accelerate their innovation and provide a competitive edge.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to lead and execute sales strategies that drive value-based growth within your assigned strategic enterprise accounts. This involves a deep understanding of the client's business challenges and aligning Databricks' solutions to address them, ultimately expanding our footprint into new business units and use cases.
- • You will be expected to consistently exceed ambitious activity, pipeline, and revenue targets. This requires a proactive and results-oriented approach to sales, leveraging your expertise in Big Data, Advanced Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence.
- • A crucial aspect of this role is the meticulous tracking of all customer interactions, including detailed notes on use cases, purchase timelines, next steps, and accurate forecasting within Salesforce. This ensures a clear understanding of the sales cycle and facilitates effective account management.
- • You will employ a sophisticated solution-based selling methodology, focusing on creating tangible value for customers and demonstrating the transformative power of Databricks' platform, which is powered by Apache Spark™ and Delta Lake.
- • Success in this role hinges on your ability to prioritize opportunities effectively and strategically leverage internal and external resources to achieve your objectives. This includes collaborating with Databricks' technical experts, marketing teams, and partner organizations.
- • Developing and executing a comprehensive plan for success is paramount. This plan will encompass both internal alignment within Databricks and external engagement strategies tailored to your specific accounts, ensuring a cohesive and impactful approach.
- • You will be a key player in communicating the Databricks value proposition to both customers and system integrators, highlighting how our unified data analytics and AI solutions empower organizations to achieve first-mover advantage in today's highly competitive landscape.
- • This role demands a strategic mindset, a passion for technology, and the ability to articulate complex technical capabilities in terms of clear, quantifiable business benefits.
- • You will manage a targeted enterprise account rather than a broad territory, allowing for deeper engagement and a more focused strategy for growth and penetration.
- • The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and possesses a proven track record of success in enterprise sales, particularly within the federal sector and with system integrators.
- • You will be responsible for understanding and articulating the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform's capabilities, including its role in data warehousing, data engineering, data science, machine learning, and AI applications.
- • Building strong, long-term relationships based on trust and mutual value is essential for success in this strategic account management role.
- • You will be expected to stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies within the data and AI space to provide strategic guidance to your accounts.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of data and AI adoption within the federal government through strategic partnerships with leading system integrators.
- • Your ability to influence and guide complex sales cycles, often involving multiple stakeholders and lengthy decision-making processes, will be critical.
- • You will contribute to Databricks' rapid expansion by capitalizing on the significant market opportunity within the public sector.
- • The role requires a consultative approach, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and partners, helping them navigate their data and AI journeys.
- • You will be empowered to drive significant impact by enabling organizations to unlock the full potential of their data assets.
- • This is a remote position, with candidates in or near Washington D.C. encouraged, but other locations will be considered.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of Enterprise Sales experience exceeding quotas in larger accounts, with a proven track record of selling to Federal System Integrators (FSIs).
- • Previous field sales experience within big data, Cloud, SaaS, and a consumption selling motion.
- • Prior established customer relationships with CIOs, program managers, and essential decision-makers at key federal accounts.
- • The ability to simplify complex technical capabilities into clear, value-based business benefits.
- • Experience excelling in an early-stage company environment, demonstrating the ability to navigate and succeed with limited oversight.
- • Bachelor's Degree.
