  • • As a Strategic Enterprise Hunter Account Executive at Databricks, you will be at the forefront of driving transformative data and AI solutions within the dynamic Financial Services sector. This role is designed for a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of identifying and closing net-new logos, while also nurturing and expanding existing enterprise accounts. You possess a deep understanding of complex technology sales cycles and excel at articulating the value proposition of innovative platforms to C-suite executives, IT leaders, and business stakeholders.
  • • Your primary mission will be to hunt for new business opportunities, expanding Databricks' footprint within the financial industry. This involves proactively engaging with potential clients, understanding their unique challenges and strategic objectives, and positioning Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform as the critical enabler for their data, analytics, and AI initiatives. You will be responsible for building and executing strategic account plans to achieve and exceed ambitious sales targets.
  • • You will engage with a diverse range of key decision-makers, including Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Data Officers (CDOs), IT Directors, Line of Business (LOB) executives, Program Managers, and other influential stakeholders. Building strong, trusted relationships with these individuals will be paramount to success, enabling you to understand their business needs and demonstrate how Databricks can drive tangible business outcomes, such as enhanced customer insights, improved operational efficiency, advanced risk management, and accelerated innovation.
  • • A key aspect of this role is your ability to manage both short-term, quick wins and longer, more complex sales cycles. You will be adept at identifying immediate opportunities for value creation while simultaneously orchestrating comprehensive sales strategies for large-scale enterprise transformations. This requires a strategic mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate intricate organizational structures.
  • • You will be a champion for Databricks' cutting-edge Data Intelligence Platform, which is powered by Apache Spark™ and built on the Lakehouse architecture. Your role involves educating prospects on the platform's capabilities, including its ability to unify data, streamline analytics, and accelerate AI development. You will work closely with Databricks' solutions architects, product specialists, and marketing teams to develop compelling proposals and demonstrations tailored to the specific needs of financial services institutions.
  • • Exceeding activity, pipeline, and revenue targets is a core expectation of this role. You will meticulously track all customer interactions, including detailed use cases, purchase timelines, next steps, and sales forecasts within Salesforce. This data-driven approach ensures efficient pipeline management and accurate forecasting, enabling you to optimize your sales efforts and maximize your earning potential.
  • • You will employ a solution-based selling methodology, focusing on understanding the customer's business problems and demonstrating how Databricks provides a strategic solution. This involves creating value by helping clients leverage their data more effectively, unlock new insights, and drive innovation across their organization. Your passion for cloud technologies and your ability to articulate intricate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner will be crucial.
  • • Ensuring 100% satisfaction among all customers is a non-negotiable aspect of your role.   • • Developing and executing a comprehensive plan for success, both internally within Databricks and externally with your assigned accounts, is essential. This strategic planning will guide your efforts, align stakeholders, and ensure consistent progress towards achieving your sales objectives.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in enterprise sales, consistently exceeding sales quotas, with a strong focus on new logo acquisition (hunter mentality).
  • • Proven experience selling complex technology solutions, preferably in the Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS space, within the Financial Services industry.
  • • Demonstrated ability to articulate intricate cloud technologies and their business value to both technical and non-technical executive audiences.
  • • Existing relationships with key decision-makers (CIOs, CDOs, IT Directors, Program Managers) within major financial services institutions are highly desirable.
  • • Experience working in or with early-stage, high-growth companies and navigating their unique sales environments.
  • • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience.
