📋 Description

• As a Strategic Finance Lead at Rad AI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operational rigor of a fast-growing healthcare AI company that is transforming radiology through cutting-edge artificial intelligence. Your work will directly support executive decision-making, drive scalable financial processes, and help scale a mission-driven organization that is already impacting nearly half of all medical imaging in the U.S. and improving patient outcomes at scale.
• You will own and evolve the company’s core financial planning and forecasting processes, including managing monthly forecasting cycles, maintaining and enhancing the operating model across revenue, expenses, and cash flow, and developing sophisticated scenario models to support strategic investments, board discussions, and long-term planning—leveraging AI tools to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• You will partner with executive leadership to translate financial performance into clear, actionable insights by leading budget vs. actual reviews, developing executive-ready dashboards and KPI tracking systems, and communicating complex financial trends in a way that drives strategic alignment across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
• You will support high-impact strategic initiatives by evaluating new products, partnerships, and growth opportunities, helping prioritize investments in R&D, infrastructure, and market expansion, and building financial frameworks to assess the unit economics of AI infrastructure—including compute costs, model inference, and platform usage—to optimize scalability and profitability.
• You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to analyze the cost dynamics of AI systems, ensuring financial rigor in technology decisions and helping the company balance innovation with sustainable unit economics as it scales its proprietary AI models across healthcare systems.
• You will operate within a high-performing, mission-driven culture that values transparency, inclusion, and collaboration, working alongside a world-class team of physicians, engineers, and business leaders who are committed to reducing radiologist burnout and improving diagnostic accuracy through AI.
• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in the intersection of healthcare, AI economics, and strategic finance, gaining exposure to board-level decision-making, innovative financial modeling techniques, and the unique challenges of scaling a high-growth AI company in a regulated industry—positioning you for leadership in strategic finance, corporate development, or CFO-track roles.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or strategic finance, preferably within a high-growth technology environment
• Expert financial modeling skills with proven ability to build and maintain complex operating models, scenario analyses, and valuation frameworks
• Demonstrated experience translating complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of working effectively with executive stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions in fast-paced, ambiguous settings
• Comfort and adaptability in a startup environment, with experience operating in high-growth, resource-constrained, and rapidly evolving organizations
