📋 Description

• Perplexity is seeking a highly motivated and analytically adept Strategic Finance Lead to join our dynamic team, focusing on driving scalable Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for both enterprise and consumer segments. This pivotal role will be instrumental in owning critical financial processes, serving as the primary financial advisor for product and growth initiatives, and contributing significantly to Perplexity's rapid expansion.
• You will be at the forefront of diverse business, strategy, and GTM initiatives. Your responsibilities will span GTM finance, supporting enterprise sales operations, intricate financial planning, evaluating strategic partnerships, and deeply engaging with product development. This role demands a sharp, creative individual who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• A core aspect of this position involves developing and owning comprehensive financial analyses for both enterprise and consumer growth initiatives. This includes crafting detailed topline projections, meticulously analyzing unit economics across various growth channels, and providing actionable insights to optimize performance.
• You will be responsible for developing and maintaining core financial models essential for strategic enterprise GTM planning. This encompasses sophisticated quota planning, analyzing cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and supporting a wide array of sales and marketing initiatives to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
• This role requires you to develop robust financial frameworks for evaluating unique, large-scale strategic partnerships and complex deals. You will assess financial viability, model potential outcomes, and provide recommendations to maximize value and mitigate risk.
• You will lead and execute various high-impact special projects, directly supporting C-suite executives and VPs across critical departments including product, growth, engineering, search, and business operations. These projects will require independent problem-solving and strategic thinking.
• A key responsibility is to proactively identify areas within the organization that would benefit from rigorous analytical support. You will leverage data-driven analysis to bring clarity to complex issues and inform critical decision-making processes across the company.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a GTM finance role at a rapidly growing company, or direct investing experience (private equity, growth equity) with a focus on enterprise SaaS.
• At least 2 years of experience in investment banking or consulting at a top-tier firm.
• Proven ability to build financial analyses that directly inform and drive strategic decisions.
• Strong financial acumen, with a demonstrated ability to partner effectively with growth and engineering teams.
• A hands-on, proactive attitude with a willingness to tackle projects of varying scope and complexity, demonstrating a low-ego approach to collaboration across the organization.
