• • Simply Protein for Pets (SPFP) is seeking a highly analytical and strategically minded Strategic Finance Manager to join our dynamic, remote team. This pivotal role serves as a crucial thought partner to our executive leadership, providing the essential financial insight, sophisticated modeling, and in-depth analysis required to steer informed, data-driven decision-making across all facets of the business. You will operate at the critical intersection of corporate strategy, operational execution, and financial stewardship, with a primary responsibility to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that champion profitable growth and long-term sustainability.
• • As the owner of the company's core financial models, forecasting processes, and key performance indicator (KPI) frameworks, you will ensure that leadership possesses timely, accurate, and actionable visibility into the company's performance against strategic objectives. This includes developing and maintaining robust financial models that accurately reflect the business's trajectory and potential.
• • This role is instrumental in driving company-wide decision-making through unparalleled data precision and strategic analysis. You will be responsible for managing the corporate financial model, defining and tracking critical financial KPIs, and overseeing sales, general, and administrative (G&A) forecasts. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring financial plans align with business objectives and market realities.
• • You will be tasked with producing high-quality materials and compelling financial presentations for the executive leadership team, including the Board of Directors. This involves synthesizing complex financial information into clear, concise, and persuasive narratives that facilitate strategic discussions and approvals.
• • Serving as an operational finance partner to various business teams across the organization, you will collaborate closely to define key metrics that drive business performance, measure progress against goals, and provide critical financial insights. This partnership extends to helping teams understand the financial implications of their operational decisions.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves partnering with the Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to rigorously analyze new revenue streams and product opportunities. You will conduct thorough financial feasibility studies, market analysis, and ROI projections to support strategic investments and initiatives.
• • You will play a key role in assisting the Executive Team in preparing monthly and quarterly presentations for ownership, as well as conducting ad hoc analysis to address emerging business questions and opportunities. This requires agility and the ability to respond quickly to evolving business needs.
• • This position is central to the annual budgeting process, where you will lead the development of comprehensive financial plans. Furthermore, you will spearhead monthly variance analysis, identifying deviations from the budget, understanding their root causes, and recommending corrective actions to maintain financial discipline.
• • You will be responsible for providing monthly financial reporting and insights, including detailed cost tracking and KPI reporting, to various teams across the company. This ensures transparency and accountability throughout the organization.
• • Support will be provided to capital markets activities, fundraising efforts, and significant strategic initiatives. This includes conducting in-depth financial analysis for new product launches, evaluating new and existing channel strategies, and contributing to potential Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities.
• • A core responsibility is to build and own detailed financial and operational models, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and integrity. These models will be the bedrock for forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic decision-making.
