• • This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, early-stage AI company and play a pivotal role in shaping its financial future. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Finance Manager to establish and lead our finance function from the ground up. This is not a traditional back-office role; instead, it's a strategic position designed to be a key enabler of our aggressive growth and operational execution. You will be the first dedicated finance leader, expected to possess the seniority to architect our financial systems and processes, the pragmatism to execute hands-on, and the vision to build sustainable, scalable solutions.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to build and own Fundamental's entire finance infrastructure. This encompasses establishing robust systems for accounting, payroll, payments, and expense management. You will be instrumental in selecting and implementing the right tools, such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Ramp, or other relevant payroll platforms, ensuring they are configured to meet our current needs and future growth trajectory.
• • A core part of your role will involve owning the month-end close process and delivering comprehensive financial reporting. This will require close collaboration with our external accounting partners to guarantee accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards across our various entities.
• • You will be the guardian of our financial health, managing cash flow, developing sophisticated forecasting models, and overseeing treasury operations. The goal is to provide the leadership team with crystal-clear visibility into our financial performance, burn rate, and runway, enabling informed strategic planning.
• • Partnering closely with the executive leadership team will be crucial. You will lead the charge on annual budgeting, ongoing forecasting, and developing various scenario planning models. This collaborative effort will directly inform critical strategic and operational decisions, ensuring that our financial strategy is tightly aligned with our business objectives.
• • Developing and meticulously tracking key financial metrics (KPIs) is essential. You will be responsible for creating insightful dashboards and reports that distill complex financial data into actionable intelligence for the broader team, fostering a data-driven decision-making culture.
