• As a Strategic Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role within our growing Strategic Finance team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Strategic Finance. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to key elements of financial planning, reporting, forecasting, analysis, and strategic insights, directly impacting product profitability and optimization.
• You will serve as a crucial financial consultant to leaders across Product, Marketing, Treasury, Corporate Finance, Corporate Development, and Regulatory Operations, fostering deep, meaningful business partner relationships. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding these teams toward achieving optimal financial performance and strategic alignment.
• A core responsibility will be to develop and maintain robust driver-based financial models for various product lines. This involves leading the forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes, requiring close collaboration with other finance and business leads to ensure accuracy and strategic relevance.
• You will be tasked with analyzing operating and financial results, including a deep dive into monthly trends and their underlying drivers. The insights derived from this analysis will be used to update forecasts, highlight potential areas of concern, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• This role demands the development of strong perspectives on business strategy and performance, benchmarked against competitors and market trends. You will be expected to proactively identify opportunities and risks, translating financial data into strategic guidance.
• Partnering with the Corporate Development team is a key aspect of this role. You will be involved in M&A opportunities, providing financial modeling, conducting due diligence on potential targets, and leading post-integration financial analysis for acquired companies to ensure successful assimilation and value realization.
• Furthermore, you will lead the financial analysis and valuation of potential new product opportunities. This involves synthesizing complex business models and assessing their financial viability within the context of Kraken's total product portfolio.
• You will leverage sophisticated analytic frameworks to drive critical business roadmap and investment decisions, ensuring that capital is allocated effectively to initiatives with the highest potential for growth and return.
• The position requires a proactive approach to identifying and building new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and navigating large, complex datasets to uncover answers to challenging business questions.
• You will be comfortable navigating ambiguous workstreams, taking initiative to build processes from scratch, and establishing best practices within the finance function.
• A strong understanding of financial markets and a genuine passion for cryptocurrency are essential, enabling you to connect financial strategies with the dynamic crypto landscape.
• This is a permanently remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. 🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related business field.
• 5-7 years of experience in finance, preferably within a high-growth SaaS, ConsumerTech, or Fintech environment, with a focus on business finance.
• Proven experience in financial strategic analysis and modeling, with a background in FP&A, Business Finance, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or Capital Markets.
• Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills, with a demonstrated track record of delivering results on corporate-wide initiatives.
• Ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights and communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
• Comfort navigating ambiguous workstreams, building processes from scratch, and working with large datasets to derive meaningful conclusions.
• Knowledge of financial markets and a strong passion for cryptocurrency.
