- • At Chime, we are on a mission to unite everyday people to unlock their financial progress. We achieve this by eliminating unnecessary fees and building innovative products that empower millions of Americans to take control of their financial lives, enabling them to save, spend, and grow their money effectively.
- • We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Strategic Finance Manager to join our dynamic Growth & Marketing Finance team. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with cross-functional leaders across Growth, Marketing, Product, and Data teams to rigorously evaluate growth initiatives, meticulously measure performance, and inform critical strategic investment decisions. Our team's core mandate is to deliver data-driven insights that enable Chime to scale efficiently and foster sustainable, long-term growth.
- • As a key thought partner to the business, you will play an instrumental role in shaping how Chime evaluates, prioritizes, and executes growth opportunities. This includes everything from pioneering new acquisition strategies to successfully launching innovative new products. You will be responsible for structuring complex business questions, developing sophisticated analytical frameworks, and translating raw performance data into clear, actionable recommendations that directly influence our investment strategies and resource allocation.
- • As Chime continues its rapid expansion, we are actively seeking versatile, strategic thinkers who possess the ability to move fluidly between deep, detailed analysis and effective cross-functional leadership. In this role, you will own growth-focused analyses from inception to completion. This end-to-end ownership encompasses problem definition, hypothesis development, rigorous modeling, insightful data generation, and compelling executive communication. You will work closely with business partners to drive alignment and ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
- • Success in this demanding role requires exceptional analytical rigor, sound business judgment, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. You must be comfortable operating effectively in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- • Key responsibilities include partnering closely with leadership across Finance, Marketing, and Product to support strategic growth discussions. You will be instrumental in defining key success metrics and measuring the tangible impact of various growth initiatives across the entire user lifecycle.
- • You will lead in-depth, cohort-based analyses and deep dives. This involves extracting, visualizing, and synthesizing complex datasets to identify critical performance trends, pinpoint key drivers of success or failure, and uncover significant areas of opportunity within both user acquisition and engagement strategies.
- • A crucial aspect of this role is evaluating the inherent risks and potential opportunities associated with the current growth plan. This requires developing a comprehensive, holistic understanding of Chime’s overarching marketing and growth roadmap.
- • You will be responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining clear, insightful reporting mechanisms. These reports will empower business leaders to effectively track progress against established expectations and make informed decisions.
- • You will actively support and continuously improve our forecasting processes, systems, and tooling. The goal is to better reflect nuanced growth dynamics, streamline operational workflows, and enhance overall scalability and automation within our financial planning.
- • Contribute significantly to earnings preparation and the development of executive narratives related to user growth. This involves translating complex analytical findings into clear, concise insights suitable for external-facing performance stories.
- • Leverage automation and explore emerging AI capabilities to enhance reporting efficiency, streamline workflows, and improve the scalability of our financial operations.
- • The base salary for this role ranges from $141,000.00 to $195,000.00, depending on location, skills, qualifications, and experience. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, a competitive equity package, and comprehensive benefits.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of relevant experience in Strategic Finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, venture capital, or a closely related field, with a strong preference for experience within a high-growth technology environment.
- • Exceptional proficiency in building scalable, efficient, and intuitive financial models. Prior experience with data visualization tools like Looker and proficiency in SQL are considered a significant plus.
- • Demonstrated prior experience with cohort data analysis and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis. Familiarity with the marketing ecosystem, various acquisition channels, and key channel performance indicators (KPIs) is highly desirable.
- • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to synthesize complex findings into concise, actionable insights for diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
- • High attention to detail, a strong ownership mindset, and the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities while consistently delivering accurate work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- • Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional partners with minimal guidance. You will be expected to communicate with cross-functional partners and senior leadership on a weekly basis.
