- • Strategic Partner to Corporate General Counsel Clients (Senior Director/Analyst) – Fully Remote US role at Gartner, Inc., where you will create must-have insights for General Counsel and assurance leaders at the world’s largest companies through published research and client interaction, directly impacting organizational performance and legal function evolution.
- • Day to day, you will engage with clients via phone, videoconference, and on-stage at Gartner events; research practices, trends, and technology; produce actionable research on board governance, risk management, and the future legal function; stay ahead of emerging developments like M&A trends and regulatory changes; represent Gartner at industry events and in press inquiries; provide sales support as a market expert; support peer analysts in content creation; conduct peer review on research; and deliver high-value presentations at webinars, conferences, and client briefings.
- • You will join Gartner’s Corporate Assurance Practice, a dynamic team advising General Counsel and assurance leaders at Fortune 500 companies, within a global organization of 21,000 associates serving ~14,000 client enterprises across ~90 countries, known for its mission to deliver actionable, objective insights that help enterprise leaders succeed.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise as a trusted advisor to C-suite and board-level executives, strengthen your executive presence and influence, master the art of translating complex legal and risk trends into actionable insights, and contribute to thought leadership that shapes how leading organizations govern, manage risk, and evolve their legal functions—positioning you as a recognized industry expert with significant impact on client outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • J.D. with 12 years of experience working as a lawyer in house
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- • Demonstrated experience presenting to the board, leading and/or coordinating risk management efforts, developing function strategy, and building talent and relationships across the organization
- • Knowledge of and experience working as a GC or in a similar role (AGC/DGC)
- • Experience and interest in advising, presenting to, and writing for the most senior levels of an organization (e.g., CEO, GC, Board of Directors, Chief Audit Executives, Head of Risk/ERM, Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer)
- • Demonstrate executive presence; with the ability to establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders
- • High learning agility and comfort navigating highly matrixed, fast-changing environments
- • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences and influence at all levels
