• • The Strategic Partnerships Director (Private Equity) at Canopy Tax LLC is a net-new, high-impact role responsible for owning and growing relationships with private equity firms that acquire and operate accounting firm portfolios, positioning Canopy as the preferred practice management platform across PE-backed accounting portfolios.
• • Day to day, the role involves building and managing a pipeline of PE firms, developing and closing enterprise partnership agreements, owning the full partnership lifecycle from outreach to onboarding and expansion, collaborating with sales, customer success, and product teams to build repeatable partnership motions, serving as the internal voice of the PE channel by sharing market intelligence, and tracking and reporting on partnership metrics including ARR influenced and portfolio penetration rates.
• • Canopy is a fast-growing SaaS company in South Jordan, Utah building simple, efficient software for accounting firms, recently securing $70M in Series C funding to revolutionize the accounting space with modern, user-friendly practice management software, with a strong emphasis on delighting customers, solving problems, and being good people.
• • In this role, the person will learn how to navigate complex multi-stakeholder deals in the PE-backed accounting landscape, build a greenfield partnership motion from scratch, gain deep exposure to enterprise SaaS sales and channel strategy, and directly influence product and go-to-market strategy through market intelligence, while contributing to Canopy’s mission of becoming the practice management standard across consolidated accounting portfolios.
