đź“‹ Description

  • • As the Technical Strategic Partnership Director at Abridge AI, Inc., you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our healthcare AI platform's integration into diverse Electronic Health Record (EHR) ecosystems. This pivotal role sits at the critical nexus of Strategic Partnerships, Product Management, and Engineering, driving Abridge's expansion into a comprehensive multi-EHR environment. Reporting directly to the VP of Strategic Partnerships, and collaborating closely with Product leadership, you will establish yourself as Abridge's foremost authority on EHR workflow intricacies and technical integration strategies, with a particular emphasis on Epic and other emerging EHR partners.
  • • Your primary objective will be to fuel Abridge's sustained growth by enhancing our product capabilities and broadening our platform's footprint across a multitude of EHR systems. You will bring essential structure, accelerate execution speed, and provide unparalleled technical clarity to the way Abridge conceptualizes, designs, and evaluates workflows within Epic and other EHRs. Through deep collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams, your expertise will ensure that our integrations are not only seamless and predictable but also of the highest quality, mirroring the native user experience within these complex systems. This will lead to faster project completion, stronger alignment among stakeholders, and the cultivation of enduring trust with our health system and EHR partners.
  • • In this role, you will spearhead EHR Integration Strategy & Workflow Leadership. This involves partnering intimately with Product Managers to meticulously define, refine, and evolve Abridge’s cross-product integration strategy across Epic and other key EHR platforms. You will be responsible for guiding the design of comprehensive end-to-end workflows that seamlessly incorporate Abridge's capabilities into and out of EHR systems, ensuring these integrations are intuitive, efficient, and complete for our clinician users. A significant part of this responsibility includes partnering with product teams and clients to establish best practices and build robust credibility in the market.
  • • Furthermore, you will serve as the ultimate escalation point for any complex EHR workflow challenges and critical integration-dependent product decisions. In this capacity, you will be expected to thoroughly analyze issues, outline clear recommendations, and articulate the associated trade-offs to guide decision-making.
  • • You will also provide crucial Technical Feasibility & API Guidance. This entails supporting Product Managers and Engineering teams by rigorously evaluating EHR APIs, vendor services, and various integration mechanisms. Your insights will be vital in advising on technical feasibility, identifying inherent constraints, and recommending the most optimal integration pathways. A key aspect of this is proactively helping teams anticipate potential integration risks early in the development lifecycle, thereby minimizing costly rework, shortening iteration cycles, and preventing downstream delivery delays.
  • • You will maintain a keen awareness of EHR platform changes, release schedules, and interdependencies, ensuring that all relevant teams possess shared clarity on technical constraints and emerging opportunities. This foresight is critical for agile development and adaptation.
  • • A significant component of your role will be fostering Cross-Functional Alignment & Execution. You will act as the essential connective tissue, bridging the gaps between Strategic Partnerships, Product, Engineering, Partner Experience, and Implementation teams. Your efforts will ensure that integration decisions are scalable and aligned with Abridge's broader strategic objectives. You will bring much-needed structure and shared context to what can often be fragmented integration workstreams, thereby enhancing velocity and ensuring consistency across all engagement channels.
  • • You will partner closely with Implementation and Partner Success teams to inform the development of repeatable integration patterns and scalable delivery approaches, ensuring that successful integrations can be efficiently replicated across new clients and systems.
  • • The expected impact of your contributions is substantial: you will accelerate our Multi-EHR Time-to-Market by reducing ambiguity and rework through earlier, clearer guidance on integration constraints and opportunities. You will significantly improve Workflow Quality & End-User Experience by ensuring integrations feel native and intuitive across diverse EHRs, which will directly drive clinician adoption and satisfaction. Ultimately, you will enable Scalable Growth by establishing a durable and robust foundation for pursuing new EHR integrations while simultaneously keeping in-flight workstreams unblocked and progressing efficiently.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of experience working with or within EHR ecosystems (Epic, Oracle/Cerner, athenahealth, or MEDITECH) in integrations, workflows, or technical enablement roles.
  • • Strong understanding of EHR workflows, interoperability patterns (e.g., HL7, FHIR), APIs, and implementation constraints within real-world health system environments.
  • • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority, particularly in guiding integration strategy with Product and Engineering.
  • • Demonstrated comfort operating in ambiguous environments and serving as a centralized subject matter expert across multiple parallel workstreams.
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and workflow considerations into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences.
