Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead end-to-end execution of long-term strategic healthcare projects that directly impact customer experience and advance Metriport’s role in U.S. healthcare interoperability.
- • Navigate complex legal, technical, and compliance frameworks governing health data exchange across federal and state regulations to ensure Metriport remains aligned with industry standards and customer needs.
- • Identify and drive internal initiatives that can be resolved through strategic partnerships, acting as a high-impact individual contributor with direct influence on business outcomes.
- • Ruthlessly prioritize initiatives by assessing impact, resource allocation, and alignment with company goals, ensuring the most critical tasks are always on track and deliver measurable results.
- • Build consensus across internal stakeholders—including engineering, compliance, and product teams—and external partners by understanding their incentives, constraints, and objectives to secure alignment and momentum.
- • Anticipate future blockers in healthcare data infrastructure five steps ahead, proactively designing solutions before issues arise to avoid delays or regulatory missteps.
- • Translate deep product knowledge of Metriport’s open-source data intelligence platform into actionable requirements for strategic projects, bridging technical and non-technical domains.
- • Solve complex, multi-constraint problems using data-informed narratives and sound judgment, clearly articulating risks, trade-offs, and recommended paths forward to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- • Maintain exceptional organizational discipline: track deadlines, manage timelines rigorously, and ensure all internal and external stakeholders remain synchronized—missed deadlines are personally unacceptable.
- • Operate with high autonomy: take ambiguous objectives, break them into executable steps, identify the most efficient path forward, and deliver results without constant oversight.
- • Demonstrate fluency in regulated industries by understanding governance structures, audit requirements, and compliance obligations in healthcare data systems.
- • Leverage peripheral knowledge in finance, data systems, compliance, and engineering to ask incisive questions and elevate discussions by engaging the right stakeholders at the right time.
- • Work in Metriport’s South Beach office in San Francisco, embracing a culture of low ego and high ownership where efficiency is prioritized over tenure or title.
- • Embody the Metriport mindset: challenge assumptions, ask “Why can’t this be done in 3 days?” instead of accepting longer timelines, and relentlessly pursue outcomes over output.
- • Own accountability for achieving outcomes that enable healthcare customers to provide better patient care through improved data accessibility and interoperability.
- • Collaborate with a tight-knit, engineering-heavy team of former founders—including two YC alumni—operating with minimal bureaucracy and maximal autonomy, where competence drives hiring and promotion.
- • Maintain sustainable intensity: work hard with a six-day workweek from the SF office, but retain full control over scheduling to prevent burnout and sustain peak performance.
- • Ensure all strategic efforts are grounded in real-world healthcare IT realities, leveraging Metriport’s integration with 300+ million patient records and 100+ customers including Amazon One Medical, Strive Health, Circle Medical, and Brightside Health.
