- • WEX Inc. is actively seeking a driven and results-oriented Strategic Sales Manager to join our dynamic Telematics Sales team. This pivotal role is designed for a "hunter" mentality, focused on identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the mid-market segment of the US business landscape. You will be instrumental in driving the sales of WEX Telematics products and services, targeting medium-sized businesses typically operating with 50 to 500 vehicles.
- • As a "Trusted Adviser," you will employ a sophisticated solution selling approach. This involves deeply understanding the core operational challenges and strategic goals of prospective clients related to their fleet operations. By thoroughly diagnosing their needs, you will then expertly position WEX's industry-leading telematics solutions as the optimal answer to their specific pain points and aspirations.
- • Your primary objective will be to generate significant revenue growth by exceeding monthly sales quotas. This will be achieved through a combination of proactive prospecting, engaging potential clients via phone, virtual meetings, email, and potentially in-person interactions, and skillfully negotiating and closing contracts.
- • Beyond acquiring new business, you will also play a crucial role in managing and growing existing customer accounts. This includes overseeing business reorders, identifying and executing upsell opportunities, and ensuring the retention and renewal of current contracts, thereby fostering long-term customer loyalty and maximizing lifetime value.
- • A key aspect of this role involves acting as the "Voice of the Customer." You will be responsible for gathering valuable feedback on customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes, and then effectively communicating this intelligence to internal teams, including Marketing, Product Development, and Sales leadership, to inform strategic decisions and drive product enhancements.
- • To ensure seamless customer transitions and ongoing satisfaction, you will work closely with the WEX Telematics Customer Success Team. This collaboration is vital for ensuring that post-sale activities are executed successfully, leading to high levels of customer adoption and positive outcomes.
- • You will be an integral part of a high-performing sales team, benefiting from robust training programs designed to enhance your sales acumen and product knowledge. Furthermore, you will have access to valuable networking opportunities that can support your professional development and expand your market reach.
- • Internally, you will collaborate extensively with various WEX sales teams to identify and capitalize on referral opportunities, creating a synergistic approach to market penetration. You will also cultivate and maintain strong, productive relationships with our key vendor partners, working collaboratively with them to facilitate the successful closing of customer deals.
- • Meticulous record-keeping is essential. You will be expected to utilize Salesforce daily to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, pipeline management, and customer interactions, ensuring data integrity for reporting and strategic analysis.
