- • As a Strategic Solutions Engineer at Vanta, you will serve as a critical technical advisor to mid-market and enterprise customers, partnering directly with the Enterprise Sales team to ensure seamless onboarding, adoption, and long-term value realization of Vanta’s Trust Management Platform. Your role is pivotal in removing technical barriers to customer success, driving retention, and influencing product development through real-world customer insights.
- • You will own the technical relationship with customers throughout the sales lifecycle, collaborating with Account Executives to design and deliver tailored solutions that integrate Vanta with clients’ cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), version control systems, and security tools. This includes leading technical qualification calls, supporting security reviews, building implementation plans, and conducting quarterly business reviews to track progress and adoption.
- • You will act as a trusted technical liaison between customers and internal teams, promptly responding to inbound questions from Sales, translating complex product capabilities into clear value propositions, and developing product examples, documentation, and best practice resources that empower customers to succeed independently.
- • You will work closely with Product, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to gather and synthesize customer feedback, identifying gaps in functionality and prioritizing enhancements that address the evolving needs of Vanta’s upmarket segment, directly shaping the product roadmap.
- • You will operate in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment where structure is minimal but impact is high, requiring strong self-direction, project management skills, and the ability to thrive amid ambiguity while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and organization.
- • You will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders — from hands-on engineers and security practitioners to C-suite executives — adapting your communication style to build trust, demonstrate credibility, and advocate for both customer needs and Vanta’s solutions.
- • You will continuously expand your technical expertise in cloud platforms, APIs, scripting, and security compliance frameworks (such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA), while cultivating a mindset of curiosity, creativity, and responsible AI adoption to amplify your effectiveness and drive innovation.
- • You will contribute to a culture of collaboration, openness, and continuous improvement, helping to foster an environment where teamwork and knowledge sharing elevate both individual performance and collective success across the Enterprise organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of pre-sales, customer-facing technical experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or equivalent role in a B2B SaaS or technology environment
- • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), including cloud application architecture and integration patterns
- • Strong project management skills with proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving startup environments
- • Proficiency with at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, Bash, or JavaScript) and familiarity with REST API development and service integrations
- • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical audiences (engineers, security teams) and executive stakeholders alike
- • Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn — including openness to using AI responsibly to enhance productivity and decision-making
