- • The Strategic Sourcing Manager at Pano AI Inc. plays a critical role in supporting the company’s mission to combat wildfires through AI and IoT-driven early detection technology by optimizing procurement and supplier performance.
- • Day to day, the role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies, leading supplier selection and qualification, conducting RFx processes, negotiating contracts, monitoring supplier KPIs, and partnering with engineering, operations, quality, and finance teams to align sourcing with product and business needs.
- • Pano AI is a 150+ person growth-stage hybrid-remote startup headquartered in San Francisco, recognized as a leader in early wildfire detection and intelligence, with backing from top-tier investors and recognition from TIME, MIT Technology Review, and Fast Company.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in strategic sourcing for hardware and technology supply chains, lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor team members, and influence leadership on supply market dynamics, risk mitigation, and innovation opportunities.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- • 5–8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
- • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- • Experience managing suppliers in a manufacturing or operations environment
- • Proven ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
- • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and sourcing tools
