- • As a Strategy and Operations Lead for Tutor at ClassDojo, you will drive critical, high-impact initiatives that are currently unowned or fragmented, taking full ownership from idea to execution to ensure measurable outcomes in tutor community engagement, growth opportunities, and quality & safety systems.
- • You will build and lead the tutor community by facilitating knowledge sharing, building trust, measuring and improving tutor sentiment through NPS and engagement metrics, establishing feedback loops, and translating insights into actionable business improvements.
- • You will drive new growth initiatives by identifying and evaluating opportunities such as homeschool, ESA funding, and test prep, conducting research, leading prioritization, launching pilots, defining success metrics, and creating scalable playbooks for iteration or scaling.
- • You will own tutoring quality and safety systems by improving session review and feedback tools, defining and tracking key metrics, partnering with Product, Data, and Engineering to build AI-enabled monitoring tools, and designing systems that uphold high standards while supporting tutors fairly.
- • You will work cross-functionally with a high-performing team of operators, data scientists, product managers, marketers, designers, and engineers to grow and improve the tutor business, directly impacting tutors, students, and families globally.
- • You will operate in a high-autonomy, high-impact environment where you create structure from ambiguity, drive end-to-end execution, and contribute to ClassDojo’s mission of giving every child an education they love by empowering tutors as the heart of the platform.
- • You will join a talented, entrepreneurial team from top tech and education companies, working remotely with significant overlap in Americas time zones, in a culture that values talent density and innovation in education.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment with a track record of owning cross-functional projects or initiatives end-to-end that delivered measurable results.
- • Proven ability to operate comfortably in ambiguity and create structure where none exists, driving initiatives from concept to execution.
- • Strong user empathy and direct experience building trust with users or customers, translating insights into decisions, systems, or product/operational improvements.
- • Experience building or improving processes, tools, or systems that scale impact, particularly in user-facing or community-driven contexts.
- • Passion for ClassDojo’s mission and a deep commitment to helping tutors build thriving tutoring businesses through the platform.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary ranges based on location: $120,000–$150,000 USD in CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT; $102,000–$127,500 USD in all other U.S. states.
- • Fully remote work arrangement with flexibility to live anywhere, provided there is significant overlap with Americas time zones.
