- ā¢ As a Strategy & Operations Senior Manager, Logistics at Whatnot, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of one of North America and Europeās fastest-growing livestream shopping platforms, directly enabling scalable, reliable, and cost-effective shipping across hundreds of product categories and multiple international markets.
- ā¢ You will define and execute the operating model and strategy for Whatnotās logistics network, ensuring performance, reliability, and pricing excellence as the company scales into new geographies and product verticals, with direct impact on buyer and seller satisfaction and marketplace trust.
- ā¢ Day to day, you will own carrier performance and pricing health by monitoring key logistics metrics, managing rate structures, and driving accountability with external carrier partners to ensure service levels align with business goals.
- ā¢ You will lead operational responses to shipping disruptions by building scalable processes, playbooks, and escalation paths that ensure fast, reliable resolution for buyers and sellers, minimizing friction in the commerce experience.
- ā¢ You will inform the product and technology roadmap by translating operational pain points into prioritized requirements for Product and Engineering teams, acting as a bridge between frontline logistics challenges and technical solutions.
- ā¢ You will shape carrier network strategy by evaluating coverage gaps, managing vendor relationships, and recommending updates to support expansion into new categories and regions, ensuring the logistics infrastructure keeps pace with marketplace growth.
- ā¢ You will partner cross-functionally with Business Development, Finance, Product, and Operations as a strategic thought partner, providing data-driven recommendations that influence shipping decisions, cost structures, and go-to-market plans.
- ā¢ You will operate within a remote co-located model, required to be within commuting distance of Whatnotās hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, or Phoenix, collaborating with a distributed team across the US, UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, and Australia.
- ā¢ You will thrive in a high-growth, ambiguous environment where you are expected to default to repeatable systems over one-off solutions, leveraging your experience to build scalable processes where no playbook exists.

šÆ Requirements
- ā¢ 8ā10 years of experience in strategy and operations roles, including consulting, finance, logistics, supply chain, or carrier operations, with a proven track record of developing and executing strategies that drive scalable, high-quality operations.
- ā¢ Direct experience with logistics operations and multi-market shipping networks is a strong plus, particularly in understanding carrier performance, rate structures, and cross-border shipping complexities.
- ā¢ Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and design scalable processes, systems, and operating models, with a preference for repeatable, system-driven solutions over ad-hoc fixes.
- ā¢ Strong analytical judgment, including proficiency in SQL or analytics platforms (e.g., Looker, Sigma, Hex), to synthesize quantitative and qualitative insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- ā¢ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across Product, Engineering, Operations, and senior leadership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- ā¢ Comfort with ambiguity and speed, demonstrated by thriving in environments where the playbook didnāt exist and you had to create it.
