• • As a Student Researcher at Handshake Technologies, Inc., you will contribute to cutting-edge AI research that directly powers the next generation of large language models, with your work potentially shipping into production and resulting in publishable research.
• • Day to day, you will own a scoped research project in areas such as LLM post-training (e.g., RLHF/GRPO pipelines), LLM evaluation (e.g., multilingual benchmarks or robustness diagnostics), or data efficiency (e.g., active learning or synthetic data generation), under the mentorship of a senior scientist, with the goal of producing an archive-ready manuscript or top-tier conference submission.
• • You will join Handshake’s AI research team, which operates at the intersection of model post-training, rigorous evaluation, and data efficiency, and collaborates with world-class AI labs, Fortune 500 partners, and leading educational institutions to advance career discovery and hiring in the AI economy.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in large language models, gain hands-on experience with distributed training stacks (PyTorch, JAX, DeepSpeed), strengthen your empirical research skills, and produce high-impact work that bridges academic rigor and real-world AI deployment.
