You will serve as the primary point of contact for students, guiding them from the initial stages of enrollment through to successful graduation.
- • Your core responsibility will be to cultivate and maintain strong, supportive relationships with a diverse student population. This involves proactive outreach, regular engagement, and a deep understanding of individual student needs and challenges. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing comprehensive pastoral support and ensuring students feel heard, valued, and understood throughout their educational journey.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves monitoring student academic performance and engagement levels. You will be adept at identifying potential areas of concern, analyzing root causes, and implementing targeted intervention strategies to foster student success and retention. This requires a data-informed approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills to connect with students on a personal level.
- • You will be instrumental in resolving student issues efficiently and effectively. This includes addressing concerns related to academic progress, personal challenges, or navigating university resources. Your ability to handle complex and sensitive conversations with empathy, professionalism, and confidence will be crucial in building trust and ensuring a positive student experience.
- • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders within our partner institutions, including academic teams, technical support staff, and wellbeing services. By triaging student cases and coordinating efforts, you will ensure seamless access to the right support at the right time, contributing to a holistic student support ecosystem.
- • Delivering engaging new student orientation sessions will be part of your remit, helping new students acclimate to the online learning environment and setting them up for success from day one. You will also guide students through the enrollment process, ensuring a smooth transition into their chosen programs.
- • You will manage a high volume of inbound and outbound communications, including calls and emails, particularly during peak periods. Maintaining timely turnaround times and adhering to established service level agreements are essential to providing exceptional service.
- • Accurate record-keeping and reporting are vital. You will be responsible for data entry into the CRM, maintaining documentation of outreach services, and conducting audit reports on student registration, retention, and persistence. Identifying opportunities for operational process improvements within student support will also be a key contribution.
- • A critical function of the Student Success Advisor is to help students understand and leverage the full spectrum of available support services, such as counselling, academic advising, learning support, and financial assistance. Your role is to be a navigator and advocate for the student, connecting them with the resources they need to thrive.
- • You will contribute to the team's growth by providing coaching, training, and coverage for new team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
