šŸ“‹ Description

  • • As a QA Supervisor at Availity, you will lead and mentor quality assurance teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and safety of healthcare technology platforms that impact millions of patients and providers nationwide. Your leadership will directly contribute to delivering market- and customer-driven results by preventing defects, detecting issues early, and validating product quality across complex systems.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating test results, preparing change requests, generating quality metrics, and collaborating with developers, product managers, and system analysts on test planning, automation, execution, and validation. You will actively participate in Agile ceremonies, serve as an escalation point for QA analysts and engineers, approve PTO requests, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and collect data for the Quality Organization to drive continuous improvement.
  • • Availity is a certified 'Great Place to Work' with a mission to refocus healthcare on patient care through its leading engagement platform, connecting over 2 million providers to health plans and processing over 13 billion transactions annually. The company fosters innovation, celebrates ideas, and empowers a remote-first workforce across the U.S. with headquarters in Jacksonville, FL, and an office in Bangalore, India.
  • • In this role, you will develop leadership expertise in cross-functional influence, Agile QA governance, and AI-augmented testing practices while mentoring team members in technical growth and professional development. You will gain hands-on experience shaping quality culture, driving process improvements, and contributing to a high-integrity software delivery lifecycle in a regulated healthcare environment.

šŸŽÆ Requirements

  • • 8+ years of experience in business and/or systems testing
  • • 2+ years of experience leading teams and delivering products in an Agile environment
  • • Prior experience as a QA Lead, Supervisor, or Manager is required
  • • Expert understanding of testing techniques including functional, integration, performance, and regression testing
  • • Working knowledge of test management tools and automated testing tools (e.g., test case management, execution reporting, defect tracking)
  • • Experience leading and mentoring QA analysts/engineers, including effective one-on-ones, goal setting, and supporting personal/professional development
  • • Experience in cross-functional leadership and influence — acting as a bridge between product, engineering, and quality to drive outcomes
  • • Experience supporting and developing procedures and governance for test documentation, execution, and reporting
  • • Strong organizational skills including project tracking, prioritization, and attention to detail
  • • Experience contributing to a culture of recognition and accountability (e.g., supporting fair recognition and accurate, honest performance feedback)
  • • Proficiency in reading and writing JavaScript, Python, C# (or similar languages used for test automation and tooling)
  • • Hands-on experience reviewing, modifying, and troubleshooting automation code built with Cucumber and Selenium WebDriver
  • • Comfort working within an IDE (VS Code, Eclipse, or similar) to run, debug, and maintain automated tests
  • • Experience with Agile work planning tools (JIRA or similar), source control (GitLab, Git), test management (TestRail), CI/CD (GitLab CI), observability (New Relic, Splunk), and database validation (SQL/MySQL)
  • • Understanding of cloud concepts (AWS, Azure) and strong problem-solving skills demonstrated by analyzing test failures, logs, stack traces, and CI pipeline output to determine root cause

šŸ–ļø Benefits

  • • Competitive salary, bonus structure, generous HSA company contribution, healthcare, vision, dental benefits, and 401k match program available from day one
  • • Unlimited PTO for salaried associates plus 9 paid holidays; hourly associates start at 19 days of PTO with same holiday benefits
  • • Education reimbursement, paid parental leave for birth and adoptive parents, wellness reimbursement up to $250/year for gym memberships, racing events, and weight management programs
  • • Casual dress code (jeans welcome), access to Diversity & Inclusion groups, Young Professionals Network, She Can Code IT group, and continuous learning resources
