- • Lead Supplier Quality Engineer role focused on ensuring the highest quality standards across in-house manufacturing and external data center construction projects, critical to FluidStack’s mission of supplying GW-scale compute for artificial superintelligence.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of supplier quality engineers, setting priorities, managing workload, serving as the SME on supplier quality, leading supplier qualification and audits, developing quality control plans, driving CAPA processes, defining and tracking supplier KPIs, collaborating with procurement and engineering on new supplier onboarding, and maintaining compliance with standards like ISO 9001, IPC, and ASHRAE.
- • The team operates within a small, fast-paced, outcomes-obsessed culture at FluidStack, where individuals own end-to-end results and treat customer problems as their own, reporting to the VP of Supply Chain with required founder-level communication.
- • In this role, the individual will grow as a people manager and technical expert, develop leadership skills in cross-functional influence, deepen expertise in data center infrastructure quality systems, and contribute directly to the reliability and scalability of AI infrastructure supporting the world’s largest AI labs.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or construction quality engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or management role
- • Demonstrated experience managing and developing engineering teams
- • Proficiency in quality tools: FMEA, control plans, SPC, 8D, PPAP
- • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- • Experience conducting supplier audits and managing corrective action workflows
- • Proven ability to influence without authority across suppliers, contractors, and internal teams
