- • The Sustainability Intern (Summer 2026) role at Avantor supports the company’s Climate Risk and Sustainability Analytics efforts, which are critical for customer-focused sustainability ratings and compliance with EU, California, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating potential impacts of two climate scenarios, engaging key stakeholders to align with Avantor’s Enterprise Risk Management process, analyzing operational, financial, and reputational risks and opportunities, and using this work to support CDP Climate submission and EU CSRD and EU Taxonomy reporting preparation.
- • The role is part of Avantor’s Global Sustainability Team, which develops quantitative climate risk scenario analysis to identify financial risks and opportunities tied to climate and sustainability programs, enabling strategic decision-making across the organization.
- • The intern will build on Avantor’s double materiality assessment and initial TCFD reports to develop a formal climate risk scenario analysis, gaining hands-on experience in quantitative assessments, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability reporting frameworks while contributing to real-world environmental and business impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies or a related field is required.
- • Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program.
- • Minimum 3-5 years of sustainability or related-fields experience is required.
- • Demonstrated project management experience is required.
- • Ability to speak other languages fluently in addition to English is a preferred qualification.
