• • In this role, you will be instrumental in developing comprehensive system architectures that encompass a wide array of smart technologies. Your expertise will be crucial in designing integrated solutions for lighting control systems, ensuring optimal ambiance and energy efficiency. You will also be responsible for the integration of motorized blinds and shading systems, enhancing comfort and privacy. Furthermore, your design acumen will extend to power distribution, ensuring robust and reliable electrical infrastructure for smart homes and buildings. The scope of your work will also include designing sophisticated audio-visual systems, creating immersive entertainment and communication experiences. Security and access control systems will be a key focus, ensuring safety and peace of mind for end-users. Finally, you will architect centralized control platforms, bringing all these disparate systems together into a cohesive and user-friendly interface.
• • A significant aspect of your responsibility will be the meticulous production of detailed schematics, precise wiring diagrams, and comprehensive installation documentation. These documents are the blueprints for our projects, ensuring clarity and accuracy for installers and technicians. You will need to skillfully adapt these designs to align with diverse project budgets, ensuring that innovative solutions are also cost-effective, and meticulously meet the specific requirements and expectations of our clients. • • Beyond initial design, you will play a critical role in drawing review and technical coordination. This involves the thorough review and interpretation of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and electrical drawings provided by consultants. You will need to possess a deep understanding of system interfaces, the underlying design intent, and the complex coordination requirements inherent in smart building projects. Your sharp eye for detail will be essential in identifying potential clashes between different building services, spotting inconsistencies in specifications, recognizing missing information, and proactively assessing design risks before they impact the project timeline or budget.
• • To mitigate these risks, you will be empowered to raise RFIs (Requests for Information) and clarification points early and effectively in the design process. Your proactive communication will prevent costly errors and delays down the line. You will also be expected to lead technical clarification discussions with external consultants, project managers, and other stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment where challenges are addressed head-on. Your ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely will be vital in ensuring alignment and smooth project progression.
• • Stakeholder collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with Project Managers to ensure designs are integrated into the overall project plan, and with Installers and Electricians to provide the necessary technical support and documentation for seamless implementation. Engaging with external consultants to refine designs and participating actively in technical meetings and design reviews will be regular occurrences.
