� Description

• • Own and evolve the email backbone that powers Hostinger’s 3 million+ global customers. You will architect, scale, and harden a platform that moves hundreds of millions of messages every month across 150 countries, ensuring 99.9 % uptime and sub-second delivery times.
• • Design and deploy new product features—think advanced spam filtering, AI-driven deliverability tuning, real-time bounce handling, and self-service mailbox migration—while balancing performance, cost, and security.
• • Research bleeding-edge open-source and commercial technologies (e.g., Dovecot plugins, Postfix milters, Rspamd, OpenSearch, eBPF observability) and run proof-of-concepts that turn into production-grade systems serving petabytes of mailstore data.
• • Automate everything. Build reusable Terraform modules for multi-cloud VM and bare-metal provisioning, craft Ansible playbooks that configure entire mail clusters in minutes, and maintain containerised micro-services on Kubernetes with GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines.
• • Optimise for scale and reliability. Profile I/O patterns, tune kernel parameters, and re-architect storage layers (Ceph, ZFS, NVMe-oF) to eliminate bottlenecks before customers notice them. Implement chaos-engineering drills to validate failover paths.
• • Instrument end-to-end observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager, and custom exporters that give the team real-time insight into queue health, reputation scores, and abuse signals. Create SLOs and error budgets that drive engineering decisions.
• • Run incident response like a pro. Be on-call one week in six, lead war-room bridges, write blameless post-mortems, and turn every outage into a permanent reliability gain. Mentor junior engineers so the collective on-call burden keeps shrinking.
• • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security, and Customer Success to translate user pain points into technical roadmaps. Present monthly “State of Email” reviews to executives, showing how infrastructure investments translate to revenue and NPS.
• • Champion security and compliance. Harden MTA configurations, implement DMARC/DKIM/SPF best practices, and automate certificate rotation. Ensure GDPR and local data-residency requirements are met without slowing feature velocity.
• • Leave the codebase better than you found it. Refactor legacy Bash into tested Go utilities, add integration tests to Ansible roles, and document tribal knowledge in Confluence so anyone can onboard in days, not weeks.
