• • This pivotal role is designed to empower a seasoned professional to own and scale Harmattan AI's core infrastructure as the company experiences rapid growth. As the Senior System & Network Administrator, you will assume complete technical stewardship over our on-premise and cloud-based systems. Your primary objective will be to guarantee the high availability, robust resilience, and stringent security of our entire infrastructure, spanning all its layers. You will be an integral part of a lean yet highly effective IT team, operating with a deliberate and efficient methodology.

• • The position includes participation in a shared on-call rotation, ensuring the continuous availability and seamless operation of critical services across the IT team.
• • **Server & Systems Administration:** You will be responsible for the comprehensive administration and meticulous maintenance of both Linux and Windows servers. This includes managing our on-premise infrastructure as well as our presence on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). A key aspect of this responsibility will be defining, implementing, and rigorously enforcing update and patching policies across all managed systems to ensure they remain secure and up-to-date. You will actively monitor system health, performance metrics, and overall availability, taking proactive measures to address and resolve any incidents that arise. Furthermore, you will manage and maintain our virtualization environments and the underlying storage infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• • **Backup & Business Continuity:** A critical function of this role involves the design, implementation, and regular, thorough testing of our backup and disaster recovery strategies. You will be tasked with ensuring the absolute integrity of our data and will define clear recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO) to meet business needs. A significant part of this responsibility includes documenting and meticulously maintaining our business continuity procedures, ensuring that the organization is prepared for any eventuality.
• • **Network Administration:** You will configure and maintain all essential network equipment, including switches, firewalls, routers, and VPNs. This includes managing network segmentation, implementing and overseeing VLANs, and enforcing robust access control policies to secure our network. Continuous monitoring of network performance and swift troubleshooting of connectivity issues will be a daily task. You will also oversee and manage the Wi-Fi infrastructure across all company sites, ensuring reliable wireless access for all employees.
• • **Cloud & Automation:** You will administer and actively optimize our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, ensuring efficient resource utilization and cost-effectiveness. A significant contribution will be made to our infrastructure-as-code practices, utilizing tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent technologies to manage and provision infrastructure programmatically. You will also focus on automating repetitive operational tasks, thereby enhancing team efficiency, reducing manual errors, and improving overall system reliability. Participating in cloud cost optimization efforts will be crucial to managing our cloud spend effectively.
• • **Documentation & Projects:** You will be responsible for writing and maintaining comprehensive, clear, and accurate technical documentation, including runbooks and architecture diagrams, typically within Confluence. You will have the opportunity to lead or actively contribute to various infrastructure improvement projects, driving innovation and efficiency. Additionally, you will serve as a technical escalation point for the L1/L2 support team, providing expert guidance and resolving complex issues.
