- • The Systems & Enablement Lead, Recruiting Operations role at OpenAI is critical to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and user-centric design of the recruiting technology ecosystem that powers hiring across the organization. This role directly supports OpenAI’s mission by enabling efficient, compliant, and high-quality talent acquisition processes that allow the company to attract and retain top global talent in AI research and engineering.
- • Day to day, the role involves owning recruiter-facing intake and triage of operational support requests, designing and managing support mechanisms like queues, SLAs, and escalation paths, delivering enablement through documentation and training, supporting sensitive workflows such as offer approvals, identifying recurring issues to drive process improvements, and partnering with People Systems and stakeholders to determine when to resolve issues internally versus escalate for system configuration or integration changes.
- • The Recruiting Operations (RecOps) team at OpenAI provides the foundational systems, workflows, and data that enable hiring at scale across research, engineering, product, policy, and operations. The Systems & Enablement function within RecOps specifically owns the recruiting technology ecosystem, ensuring tools like the ATS are reliable, well-governed, and aligned with user needs, while maintaining close collaboration with People Systems on technical and control-related matters.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in recruiting operations systems, gain experience in process optimization and change management within a high-growth AI organization, strengthen stakeholder management and technical communication skills, and contribute to scalable, AI-aware operational improvements that enhance both efficiency and compliance in global hiring workflows.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in recruiting operations, HR systems, people technology, or related roles
- • Hands-on experience administering an ATS, with Ashby strongly preferred
- • Strong understanding of recruiting workflows, offers, and hiring data
- • Ability to balance detailed systems work with user support and enablement
- • Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills
- • Highly detail-oriented with strong operational discipline and commitment to accuracy and consistency
