📋 Description

• • As a Systems Engineer, HPC at Mistral AI, you will play a pivotal role in designing, operating, and scaling the infrastructure that powers cutting-edge AI platforms, ensuring reliability and performance at massive scale.
• • Day to day, you will operate and maintain large-scale Linux environments (bare metal, clusters, cloud), monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, support production and research workloads, and help scale clusters toward hundreds to thousands of nodes handling petabyte-scale storage.
• • You will work within a collaborative, low-ego, highly technical team at Mistral AI, a rapidly scaling company building foundational infrastructure for AI research and production across Europe, the US, and beyond, bridging HPC, infrastructure, platform, and research teams.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Linux systems administration, automation (using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform), job schedulers like Slurm, and large-scale system design, while gaining exposure to GPU/AI workloads, storage systems (Ceph, Lustre, NFS), and high-performance networking, positioning you as a key contributor to next-generation AI infrastructure.
