- • As a Systems Engineer II at Bullhorn, you will be a critical member of the team responsible for the unwavering availability and optimal performance of our production environment, ensuring a seamless experience for our valued customers. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity and scalability of our SaaS platform, which is at the heart of our business operations.
- • Your primary responsibility will involve the vigilant monitoring and proactive maintenance of all production system equipment and services. This includes a deep dive into system health, performance metrics, and potential bottlenecks to ensure robust and reliable operations around the clock.
- • You will be instrumental in guaranteeing 24/7 availability of the Bullhorn production application environments. This commitment extends to participating in a rotating on-call schedule, which will include weekend responsibilities, underscoring the critical nature of this role in maintaining business continuity.
- • A key aspect of this position is your role as a mentor to other Systems Engineers within the team. You will share your expertise, guide junior engineers, and foster a collaborative learning environment, contributing to the overall growth and development of the engineering department.
- • You will be tasked with meticulously documenting technical environments, processes, and procedures. This ensures knowledge transfer, facilitates troubleshooting, and supports the standardization of our operational practices across the organization.
- • Providing direct, high-level support to our Software Development, Quality Engineering, Customer Support, and Professional Services teams will be a significant part of your day-to-day. You will collaborate closely with these departments to swiftly and effectively resolve production-related issues, minimizing any impact on our customers.
- • You will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing network and systems configurations across our globally distributed data centers, ensuring consistency and efficiency in our infrastructure.
- • A significant part of your contribution will involve developing sophisticated system analysis and reporting tools, as well as creating automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks. This focus on efficiency and data-driven insights will be key to improving our operational capabilities.
- • You will actively participate in the planning and execution of new product deployments and enhancement projects. Your involvement will ensure that our production environment is fully prepared and capable of servicing new features and updates, guaranteeing a smooth transition from development to live operation.
- • This role demands a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential risks within the production environment, implementing preventative measures, and responding effectively to incidents.
- • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure by evaluating new technologies and methodologies, and recommending their adoption where appropriate to enhance performance, security, and scalability.
- • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement lasting solutions will be a regular part of your responsibilities.
- • You will be expected to stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in systems engineering and operations, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
