Your primary focus will be on maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our Citrix environments to guarantee the seamless availability and peak performance of virtualized applications and desktops for our end-users.
• • A core responsibility involves the meticulous maintenance of our Citrix infrastructure, ensuring its optimal functioning. This includes proactive identification and resolution of technical issues, performing regular health checks, and implementing performance tuning measures to enhance user experience and system stability.
• • You will be the go-to person for resolving escalated technical challenges within the Citrix ecosystem. This requires close collaboration with the EUS (End-User Services) and EUX teams, working in tandem to diagnose, troubleshoot, and implement effective solutions for complex problems.
• • Continuous monitoring of system performance is crucial. You will analyze performance data, identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement, and execute proactive maintenance tasks to uphold the high availability and reliability of our Citrix platforms. This includes staying abreast of the latest Citrix updates and best practices.
• • Providing advanced support to both end-users and internal technical teams is a key aspect of this role. You will be responsible for resolving intricate issues related to Citrix applications and virtual desktop environments, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• • Ensuring the security and integrity of our systems is paramount. This involves overseeing regular patching, applying necessary updates, and conducting security maintenance for all Citrix environments to mitigate vulnerabilities and prevent potential disruptions.
• • You will be tasked with building new systems according to defined specifications, ensuring they meet stringent availability and performance targets as stipulated in service level agreements (SLAs) established with business owners.
• • Regularly reviewing system performance data is essential for strategic planning. You will analyze trends, identify opportunities for optimization, and provide recommendations to enhance overall system performance. Additionally, you will contribute to forecasting future system needs based on observed usage patterns and growth projections.
• • This role demands a proactive approach to documentation, including the creation of detailed technical documentation for new technology implementations and comprehensive guides for the turnover of production systems to the EUS Support team, ensuring smooth transitions and knowledge transfer.
• • You will leverage your expertise in automation tools and scripting languages, such as PowerShell and Azure CLI, to streamline operational tasks, develop efficient workflows, and enhance the overall manageability of the systems. Experience with developing and consuming API-based PowerShell automation will be highly valued.
