• • As a Systems Engineer Intern, your primary responsibilities will revolve around supporting the installation and commissioning of elevator control systems. This involves assisting senior field engineers in the physical setup and initial testing of hardware, ensuring all components are correctly installed and connected. A significant aspect of this role is the integration of our elevator systems with broader building management systems (BMS), access control platforms, and various monitoring solutions. You will meticulously verify that system configurations align precisely with detailed engineering drawings, project specifications, and the unique requirements of each customer, ensuring a high standard of accuracy and compliance.
• • Beyond installation, you will play a crucial role in troubleshooting and providing technical support for complex system-level issues. This will involve helping to diagnose problems that may span hardware, software, networking, and inter-system interfaces. You will support field technicians during the critical startup and testing phases, as well as during any necessary corrective actions. A key learning opportunity will be participating in root-cause analysis for encountered issues, meticulously documenting your findings, the steps taken, and the resolutions implemented. Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, Ethernet, and serial communications, is also required. The ability to read and interpret technical documentation, such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications, is a critical skill for success in this role.
