📋 Description
- • As a Claims Adjuster in the Take Loss No Policy Bodily Injury Unit at National General, a proud member of The Allstate Corporation, you will be at the forefront of investigating and confirming the intricate facts surrounding automobile accidents. This pivotal role demands a deep understanding of policy coverage, with a specific focus on handling complex scenarios involving policy denials, cancellations, and the nuances of Uninsured Motorist (UM) waivers and rejections.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously investigate all facets of auto claims, including coverage, damages, and subrogation potential. You will exercise discretion and independence within an established authority level to accurately assess and adjust claims, ensuring fair and timely resolutions for our policyholders.
- • A key aspect of this role involves determining liability and damages, requiring a keen analytical mind and a thorough grasp of insurance principles. You will be expected to apply an intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, stay abreast of industry trends, and comprehend the organizational relationships within the company and department to effectively manage your caseload.
- • You will collaborate closely with assigned representatives from fraud and subrogation departments when claims present such complexities, working in tandem to achieve the optimal outcome for both the company and the claimant.
- • A practical understanding of vehicle anatomy, including the identification of various body parts and an awareness of potential damage to other property, will be essential for accurate claim assessment.
- • Identifying customer needs and employing exemplary customer service skills to meet those needs will be paramount. You will be the primary point of contact for policyholders during a challenging time, requiring empathy, clear communication, and a solutions-oriented approach.
- • The role requires the ability to recognize and assess subrogation or fraud potential, developing and executing appropriate strategies for handling these specific claim types.
- • You will be responsible for managing escalated issues and navigating challenging claim scenarios with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. This includes making informed decisions regarding coverage disputes and liability assessments.
- • Prioritization and time management are critical, as you will be managing a caseload of claims, each with its own unique set of circumstances and deadlines. The ability to effectively balance multiple tasks and meet performance metrics will be essential for success.
- • This position does not involve supervisory duties, allowing you to focus entirely on the core responsibilities of claims investigation, adjustment, and negotiation.
- • By joining National General, you are not just accepting a job; you are embracing an opportunity to elevate your skills, challenge the status quo, and contribute to shaping the future of protection. You will be part of a winning team that makes a meaningful impact, driven by the same innovative spirit that keeps Allstate a step ahead.
- • The company offers a diverse range of insurance products, including home, auto, and accident and health insurance, as well as specialty niche products, distributed through a broad network of independent agents and directly to consumers. Your role will be integral to the success of our bodily injury claims unit, ensuring our commitment to policyholders is upheld.
- • You will be instrumental in upholding the company's reputation for integrity and customer care, handling claims with fairness, efficiency, and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- • This position offers a remote work arrangement, providing flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere within the US, contributing to a healthy work-life balance.
- • The compensation structure is competitive, with multiple salary bands based on experience and qualifications, offering potential for growth within the organization. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced claims professional to leverage their expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
